Over in China, Lenovo have dished up the goods once again with the release of the new Lenovo K3 Note.
As you would expect from a phone named ‘Note’ this phablet has a 5.5-inch display just like the Meizu M1 note, Mlais M52 Note and Xiaomi Redmi Note. Although Lenovo have kept the Chinese retail price down to only $145, the phone has a FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 2GB RAM and 64bit MT6752 processor.
The Mediatek MT6752 has been getting a lot of press time recently as it is the SoC that is powering some of the most powerful Chinese Android phones of the moment yet is is designed to keep overall costs low, hence the incredible price.
Performance is amazing too with an Antutu score of 46,001 points, only a little less than flagship phones with more expensive Qualcomm processors!
As well as the FHD display and and powerful performance, the Lenovo K3 Note also receives a dual LED flash, LTE support, 5 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear, plus it comes in a bright yellow option incase you want to stand out.

above score proves that MT6752 is a powerhorse, but not fully optimised by Jiayu S3 or Iocean Rock..or may be antutu has upgraded versions.
I was thinking that too, especially with the Mlais M52 ‘only’ scoring 42000 and that has a HD screen! Shows that there is a lot of room for improvements in other phones equipped with this SoC.
The reason for the higher score is that the above shown benchmark ran on Lollipop in 64-bit mode.
I’m not sure that the score is only because Antutu upgraded versions. My Cube Talk 9X scores 30,000+ on Antutu 5.6.1. Yesterday, I upgraded to 5.6.2 and now it’s scoring 31,000+. Just a little increment. I think it’s the 64 bit mode that’s causing the score to go up and I love that. That shows the share prowess of the MT6752.
I must get a phone sporting that SoC sooner than later.
That’s a speaker and it’s a different version at 160$, the normal version doesn’t have a hump.
I’ve read somewhere that this is a pure design element. Plus the holes for the speaker are clearly visible on the back. This round thing has no holes and seems redundant. Can you share more info? The specs and price seem quite right.
Nobody really translates properly from Chinese so don’t have full details on how the hump works.
The normal version is 899CNY and the one with the hump is 999CNY.
The hump is for better audio ,,it’s being described as a “ceramic piece vibration speaker” but i don’t really have much of an idea how it works.
As for other specs, it has dual SIM, microSD. 152.6*76.2*7.99mm ,150g.
seems finally i have found what have been looking for “price for Africa” else what are the full specifications Andi?
My first reaction when I saw this article was ‘not another 6752 phone’, after reading though, the price point is it’s USP, unfortunately the rear of the phone has to be the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen and I wouldn’t even want to use it if I were alone in my house!
from what I hear that one is optional
for the prices they are going those are some awesome devices, with less than 150 usd you could buy a thing very close to most of 2014 flagships at half (and a half) of the price they still retali! there is an option without that weird back (which seems something audio-related) at a lower price, you can see it here http://www.lenovomobile.com/medias/?context=bWFzdGVyfHJvb3R8MTY0NTd8aW1hZ2UvanBlZ3xoZTcvaGY5Lzg4MTU3NjA1Mzk2NzguanBnfGUxYTFhOTVmYjNmN2U0N2EwZTI2OGNkZTI2OWNkNTNlN2IwYzcxYTAyZWQ5NzMxNmYwOTZlY2Q1Zjk4NTRiMDI
Trouble is by the time resellers get hold of them you are looking around $200 which makes it same price as phones like the Jiayu s3. Wish e could get Chinese prices!
Usually the timing problem is something small brands have, promising and delaying it’s their habit. Since this Lenovo has been officially announced, I believe it will be in the hand of resellers in very few weeks. And don’t compare Lenovo with Jiayu, it’s like comparing a Mercedes with a Dacia 😉
