One of the first three Android One phones, the Micromax Canvas A1 is now on the receiving end of the Android v5.1 Lollipop update.
To ensure users receive the update on your phone, they need to go into the settings and manually check for an OTA update. Micromax recommends having at least 30% battery so the device doesn’t die during the update.
The phone comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen and is powered by the MediaTek MT6582 SoC, yesteryear’s budget poster chipset. Aside from that, the phone has 1GB of RAM a 5 mega-pixel rear camera, a 2 mega-pixel front camera and lastly, a 1700mAh battery.
