No.1 have their Samsung Galaxy S6 clone ready for release

no1 galaxy s6 clone

No.1 get back to their clone roots with a knock off version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 which they say they are ready to launch!

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is a very nice device! It offers great speed, a lovely camera and it is really affordable! Well not it isn’t it’s actually really overpriced which means there are likely at least a couple of people out their waiting to pick up a knock off version.

Usually for clones we look towards GooPhone, but as they have been on the quiet side these days it is No.1 who have managed to get out of the gates first with a knock off version of the latest Sammy product.

GizChina.es managed to get these exclusive hands on photos of the S6 clone but it remains to be seen if the flagship looks will be accompanied with decent specifications. In the past we have seen No.1 phones launch with pretty low-end hardware, we hope at least for a 64bit processor and 2GB RAM for the S6 but let’s wait and see.

Why oh why would you advertise knock offs andi seriously

    • Babidi
      March 27, 2015

It is because lower class and naive people in developing countries still buys knock-offs like this believing that it will provide the same performance as the real thing. They will never get their hands on the real thing and I am sure no one let them borrow the original S5, so it is kind of a win-win for the company and the customers.

Search the term “Galaxy S5 Master Copy” and you will see that people who never in their lifetime visited a technology site and who even after being illiterate, acquired a good amount of money by selling fruits and vegetables will buy phones like these.

What you say is true, but the question is why GizChina promotes this stuff.

        • March 27, 2015

I wouldn’t say we are promoting it but rather reporting it. Now at least people know there is a clone out there. Some people will use that info to but the knock off, others will use that info to avoid buying it (there are still some slimey sellers who would try to sell this as the real thing)

Maybe you should titel it then, watch out for fake galaxy s6

            • March 28, 2015

Fake isn’t the same as copy which isn’t the same as clone. However, knock-off, counterfeit, copy does go hand in hand.

          • March 27, 2015

Got to agree with Andi on this one, why would he not report on a new china phone? I like to read about clones as much as original phones (although I would say that a lot of the phones people suggest are original and therefore worthy of reporting, are in fact pretty much knock offs of others, the only thing that differs is just the degree of blatancy).
I look forward to a hands on review of the NO.1 phone and finding out whats inside it, if its good a good processor, screen, decent amount of ram and storage and the price is good I might consider one.
If however it turns out to be low quality and low spec, I would like to find out before risking spending money on one and assume that others would benefit from the information.
Lets not be haters! and let Andi get on with what he does best… reporting on all new China phones, clones or not.
Kind regards and thanks for your great work Andy

a clone is a exact copy, that means same hardware and everything , not just a cheap ripp off

            • March 27, 2015

I am guessing the rock you have crawled out of to troll this thread has not been privey to the China clone industry… that’s the one where China companies take an existing product and make a clone of it. To most people it looks the same on the outside but with lower cost internals. It’s not just phones but cars and other technology.
clone/copy are interchangeable words in this field (unless your a symantics nazi)

Not sure if you are a native English speaker, but hopefully this extract from the Collins English Dictionary might help to educate you a little.

              http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/clone

Incase you can’t be bothered to read the definition let me highlight extracts from it that you will find relevant.

              noun

(informal) a person or thing bearing a very close resemblance to another person or thing

              verb

(informal) to produce near copies (of a person or thing)

              Example Sentences Including ‘clone’

In reverse of civvy practice, the wise cop with the gold Rolex always claimed it was a Hong Kong clone.Anthony Masters CASCADES – THE DAY OF THE DEAD (2001)

and for copy please read the following, again from the English dictionary.

              http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/copy

              noun (plural copies)
1A thing made to be similar or identical to another:the problem is telling which is the original document and which the copyverb (copies, copying, copied)[WITH OBJECT]Back to top
1Make a similar or identical version of; reproduce:each form had to be copied and sent to a different department
I think if you compare the two words you will find that they are in this situation interchangeable, please consider your rude ignorant, illiterate self well and truly schooled in the English language. Thats the nice thing about having a degree in English literature and working as a proof reader, you tend to have a better grasp of the English language.

            • March 28, 2015

He’s right you know. Cloning & copying aren’t equally alike. These shouldn’t be called clones. Knock-offs they are and also can be said that they are counterfeits. Fake money can’t be used to make purchases but counterfeit money can. A perfect example of cloning is mass-production. You buy 2 S6 from a Samsung store which sell genuine phones only. Though Genuine, they are 100% clones – clones of the original one.

            • March 28, 2015

Plus1876 sorry to be pedantic but you too are failing to grasp the use of the words clone and copy, they both share literal meanings ( as demonstrated by the examples from the English dictionary)

To use your examples, are you saying that counterfeit money is not fake money? fake money is a simile of the original designed to fool a person, whilst there are differing degrees of counterfeit money on the market it is not the same as the original and the purchase of goods with said money would be illegal.

Whilst cloning can also be used to mean that an item is a 100% copy of the original, this is not the only meaning.

here is a really interesting article from the economist that talks about chinese tech companies cloning services like paypal, facebook, twitter they are not 100% the same as the originals but stole ideas and ipo.

It is easy to spot something that is fake. Not so easy to detect a counterfeit, bogus, clone or copy. All I’m saying is they should be called fake, knock-off products because cloning shares the same DNA etcetera

I tend to agree and see the rational behind that decision.
Btw, is it only me or the the home buttons is not properly placed?
Maybe it is a bad photoshop again, I can’t imagine the real product would have it misalignied. Doesn’t fit in the correct perspective of the “photo”.
