With the Nubia Z9 mini and Z9 Max released, we have been asking ourselves where the flagship Nubia Z9 is? The answer is on its way and without bezels.
Ni Fei, one of the head honchos over at Nubia in China, took to Weibo today to calm fans and confirm that a flagship version of the Nubia Z9 is in fact scheduled to launch. Like us, many Chinese Nubia fans had been a little stunned at the lack of flagship phone during the 26th March release of the Z9 Max and Z9 Mini, but Ni Fei says not to worry.
Gizchina News of the week
While exact specifications for the phone haven’t been revealed, the insider did confirm one major detail of the phone! The lack of bezels.
We’ve seen phone companies claim to have bezel-less designs in the past only to be let down, so we are taking Nubia’s claim with a pinch of salt for now.
As for the hardware, well we expect a 2K display, between 3-4GB RAM and a Snapdragon 810 on the upcoming Nubia Z9. Let’s wait and see if our expectations become reality.
Ne bezels from the sides, bun bellow display… you can land a plane ot that bezel.
Hopefully a camera that includes proper OIS.
The price is also higher than the z9 max, 2499 yuan. So basically, it will costs more than 400 USD official price. Resellers price is most likely above 500 USD.
Iphone 5S+ with no bezels.
Maybe it would look nice on a black device.
sorta true, the nubia z9 max for example is very height even for 5,5 inch but its not wide
I suspect that the photo used above is not of the final version of the device
This was sounding promising until ‘Snapdragon 810’, don’t want that overheating, throtttled cpu in a phone of mine.
I think you should do a little more reading, the LG Flex 2 and the HTC M9 are both running too hot, the HTC has been throttled to prevent it, hence why the benchmarks are poor. It might not be overheating as such but its known that once it hits a certain voltage it will overheat, and I for one dont want a cpu thats been throttled as it only fixes the symptoms and not the cause.
The overheating issues have been found to be software related in both the Gflex and M9 and have since been fixed. Several tech blogs have tested retail versions of both phones after the fixes and found they are no hotter than other flagships socs.
Sorry Andrew, but Qualcoom’s high end chip is a shitty SoC this year. HTC One m9 is heavy throttled
yes but exynos for example will also overheat under pressure^^ i dont really see the problem if your not a power/heavy phone gamer since normal processing shouldnt be a problem for the device
why buy a powerful phone , if you cant use it
i saw a lot of tests with the new 810 and exynos. 810 drops 10k in antutu. exynos 2k max.
price is astronomical as well
