Daway is a new brand in the Chinese smartphone market and are hoping to slowly wiggle their way into the budget section with their Daway Z6, a budget device that literally screams “budget smartphone”.
The Daway Z6has a 5-inch HD display, a (fairly outdated)1.3Ghz MTK6582 chipset with a Mali 400MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 8MP rear camera with a single flash and a front facing shooter at 2MP. The rest of the specifications like the size of the battery are still unknown, but should be revealed in due time.
The device has a fairly generic design compared to similar budget devices like the Elephone P6000 and the JiaYu F2. The front has three capacitive buttons, along with the sensors and front facing camera. The sides are covered in what appears to be a metallic coloured plastic frame which hold the power button on the right, the volume rocker on the left, the charging port and headphone jack on top and the speaker on the bottom. The rear has the rather large Daway logo and the 8MP camera with its singular flash.
The Daway Z6will ship with Android 4.4 Kitkat, will have dual sim card slots, as well as a microSD card slot. The price of the device has yet to be announced, though I do think anything over $99 is a bit too much for this budget phone. The MTK6582 processor is honestly too outdated to be practical anymore. MTK6732 should be the new standard for budget devices.
What do you think about the device? Is it a waste of time? Could it have potentially been a great phone?

The only reason phone and tablet makers use pics at an angle is to hide the thickness of the bezels so a full frontal pic would be nice here.
This is just going to disappear into the sea of budget phones on offer in China as it lacks any sort of USP unless they offer it for $50!
Pretty much sums it up. If the build, screen and camera are OK someone might pay up to 80$, but 99 seams too far fetched.
