After the rather disappointing pricing of the Gionee Elife S7, buyers in India are being spoilt for choices with MT6752 phones.
Only a couple of days back did we report about the Lenovo A7000, which is another phone powered by the MT6752 (MT6752m, to be precise). Earlier today, another phone from the same company, powered by the same processor — this time the non-underclocked version of it — went official in India in the form of the P70.
The Lenovo P70 comes with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel HD display, has the octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 processor, a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front camera and a massive 4,000mAh battery. If there has to be a disappointment in any form, it would have to be the RAM which is only 1GB. Update: no disappointment the P70 does in fact have 2GB RAM.
But then again, a phone with the awesome MT6752 with a 4,000mAh battery for 16,000 INR or US$257 isn’t particularly a bad deal… if you’re not used to international import.
The phone will be available to buyers in the country via Lenovo’s official The Do Store for the aforementioned amount, with shipping set to commence next week. So, tell us, buyers in India – yay or nay?

I am using Lenovo P780 which has almost the same specifications (and also 4000 mAh battery), except newer SoC. And I payed it only $100 on PandaWill discount. This P70 is basically successor of my P780. I like phones with huge batteries and my previous phone was THl 4400.
OOPS! Thanks for pointing it out, getting it corrected ASAP.
Hmmm, it does look like a very good buy now…
