Nubia Z9 spy images show 2.5D display, slim bezel and metal rear

Another set of leaked images have been posted online showing the flagship Nubia Z9 with slim bezels along with a few additional features.

Nubia bosses say that the flagship variant of the Nubia Z9 will have a borderless design, but so far all the leaks contend that theory and show extremely slim edges on either side of the display.

These latest leaked photos show a few more details as the screen appears to be a 2.5D panel, thinner on the edges and thicker in the middle (same as the IUNI U3 and Mi Note), along with a metal rear.

The blurred rear image also seems to show a dual LED flags system next to the main camera, which sits on the very edge of the phone, and a large external speaker grill. Oddly the photos of the flagship phone don’t show any fingerprint security features where as designs show a physical home button will be included with the security addition.

Under the hood the Z9 will get a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, and either a 16 mega-pixel or 20 mega-pixel rear camera, The 2.5D display should measure around 5.3-inches have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and made from Gorilla Glass 3.

What do you think of the Nubia Z9 leaks? Is this a flagship that you are waiting to own?

I wonder what the price of this phone will be. 5.3 inch and 1080p screen is smaller than the z9 max and bigger than the mini 9. My guess is that it will costs more than 2499 yuan (price of z9 max). Some rumors say that it could have a 2K screen.

    lol ZTE is losing it.
Thin side bezels with crazy big upper and lower bezels is just comical. It’s like … Lincoln with a beard and a tophat.
The Z9 line is a lot less value than the Z7 line and poorer design (shinier doesn’t mean better).
    Maybe next year….

Although the soc choice in the Z9 line is questionable (615 is too slow, 810 eats the battery for breakfast) they do have a new Sony camera module that I’m dying to try out.

Yes, it seems they have a custom made Sony 1/2.6 inch 16MP camera module. Samsung S6 and Note 4 also have the same size camera module from Sony, so that is interesting. They are considered one of the best camera phones on the market.

I would love to see a camera photo’s comparison between Samsung S6 and Z9 phones.

Maybe they are going to sell these phones directly in Europe this year with the help of retailers, but that is not sure yet.
