Blackview have announced that they will be bring OTA updates to their phones and launching Lollipop for some models too.

Blackview are really scrapping for position in the international Chinese phone market scene. They have released a handful of devices in the past few weeks with the most recent being the Dieter Rams (claimed) designed Alife S1.

So far each Blackview model has shipped with Kitkat, but from the end of April certain devices can expect an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop. From what we have seen of current devices expect the 64bit Alife S1 to receive the update first.

In addition to bringing Lollipop to phones, Blackview have invested in dedicated servers for handling OTA updates, so future installations will be a simple one click affair.
