Xiaomi have today released a black version of the Xiaomi Mi Note in China in collaboration with a local pop star as a limited edition model.
Xiaomi have a long tradition in launching the white version of their phones long before they begin offering alternate options. The white version of the Mi Note has been on sale now for a few months, with the black option nowhere to be seen since the launch day.

those prices are stupid, for that you can buy a samsung phone too. Xiaomi is very dissapointed these days in prices. They used to be good
The difference is Xiaomi actually makes good software. With Samsung you get invasive apps trying to take your contacts and other data, and touchwiz.
Galaxy S5. Currently sold for 390 euro in netherlands and prices keep dropping. And that’s including a whopping 21% tax.
On Taobao they sell for 2300cny.
The LG G3 can be had for as little as 345 euro in euroe and just over 1800cny on taobao.
At the current rate 2499 cny is 377 euro.
Even for chinese standards a Mi Note is expensive.
How about Huawei then? Mate 7 in europe: 395 euro. In China: 3000cny = 445 euro. I wonder if the Mate8 will still be sold for cheap after the decline of the euro rate.
S5/G3 are almost 12months old. Should compare with what recent latest flagships price.
But still, with MIUI and the Mi Note hardware offer @ 2499CNY are cheaper than established brand like Samsung or HTC or Sony.
I thought Xiaomi is cool. Zhang Jie is seriously uncool.
And 32GB, I mean 24GB?
