If you haven’t already pre-ordered your Elephone P7000 phone then you might want to wait until the 25th of this month when it will be offered at the incredible price of only $159.99 for a limited time.
The Elephone P7000, or as Elephone P7000 Pioneer, has been the subject in exciting leaks, and news reports since the start of the year. The phone is a Mediatek MT6752 powered flagship which will boast a 5.5-inch FHD display, 3GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel Sony sensor not to mention an integrated fingerprint scanner and large 3450mAh battery. Update: It also looks like the display has been updated to Gorilla Glass 3.
Gizchina News of the week
We already reported that pre-sales of the Elephone P7000 had started earlier this month, but now  news has come to light that is likely to excite anyone who is interested in buying a flagship phone at a really cut down price.
Our sources have told us that Elephone will hold a flash sale offering the P7000 at only $159.99 on the 25th April. Details of where the sale will take place, or how many units will be offered is still under wraps, but we do know that it will be a first come first serve, sale by appointment deal.
At $159.99 the Elephone P7000 would represent stunning value for money, are you going to try and pick one up?
Gosh! This is unfair on so many levels
Elephone has gotten my curiosity! I just hope they don’t let us down.
Can anyone confirm if d camera’s interpolated or not
They’ve got the attention of many people but the wait has been too long. The P8000 that leaked sometimes ago is also an interesting device but going by how they’ve handled the release of the P7000, it may not launch until end of the year. As for the camera, honestly I’d rather wait for Andi’s word on that amongst other things
Yup, I pray his word comes early.
Its not unfair lol, they are giving the lucky few a major bargain, its not like they have to do it.
Lol… I get ur point but then the phone looks so good and thousands of people have been waiting for it’s debut. If I eventually buy one, I can’t help but think some people got it so cheap compared to what I’d pay for it after we all endured the torture of the waiting period together
Prices continue to fluctuate on mobile phones no matter when you buy it so there theoretically always be someone who paid less than you. Just buy the phone when you feel it is a great bargain and don’t worry what others paid, enjoy the fact that you got a good phone for a good price.
It’s kind of like flying, I never ask the person sitting next to me how much they paid for their tickets.
I get ur logic but don’t forget in this case, whoever gets it for this price will also be part of the first set of owners of the phone. Not that I’m worried but being an early owner of a (seemingly) great phone for the lowest is enough to make other people go green with envy lol
Personally I prefer to get a phone 3-4 months after it releases for a few reasons. The most important being by that time enough people have used it and discovered any long term issues with the hardware or bugs in the software that reviewers don’t notice because of their short time with the device. Secondly by that time many phones are readily available in the market and you can find better deals. Finally most phones I dont use whatever the UI it comes shipped with, by the 3 month mark there is usually a decent selection (depending on brand) of ROM’s available.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Excellent deal for those lucky enough but I can imagine those fishing behind the net will be pissed. Now I know that it can be had for 159 I will be less likely to pay the full price version even if I don’t succeed getting one for 159. I wonder if this is going to backfire for elephone.
It also could have the opposite effect of what you mention. It could drive demand up for the phone so much that those who don’t get it for $159 will be willing to pay a little more for it.
At the end of the day though if they deliver with a truly remarkable phone (as the specs would indicate) for under $200 it will sell no matter what the price.
And they are probably going to have like 200 units available so yes it will probably sell out.
for international buyers as well ?
only for international buyers
Oh please be free shipping
They offer free shipping on their pre-sell models so I would imagine this will too.
Good day Andi, thanks for always keeping us updated. Is it at all possible that u could make a review of d P7000 (d real thing) b4 d date of d flash sale? Plsss
We are waiting on the review device, which they tell us will be shipped next week now. Fingers crossed đ
Can’t wait! đ Hope it arrives and you have time to do a proper review before the deal starts
Alright thanks. Just noticed I’ve been reading ur name wrong all this while, always thought it was Andi Skyes đ
Alright thanks. Just noticed I’ve been reading ur name wrong all this while, always thought it was Andi Skyes đ
Elephone.cc is for international buyers, they ship using DHL.
I don`t trust Elephone for even such a bargain. If their current lineup of models holds after 1 year and there are no major complains maybe I`ll get on the next bandwagon. For now I play the waiting for feedback game đ
Early on there were multiple complaints about their phones, especially after 1-3 months of ownership. But it appears over the last 6-7 months they have improved their quality, I am seeing less and less complaints on the various forums.
I’ve heard so too, but I’ll wait for at least six more months of feedback(because of horrible build quality in previous models), in order to consider buying one.
Indeed, the P6000 for example is one phone that’s really worth the buck.
I have heard very good things about the P6000. Elephone is a very exciting brand to me, they are constantly innovating and listening to the community. They admit to past mistakes and do everything possible to fix them. And they have been offering good phones for low prices.
Agreed.
GPU 16cores? Yea right… good joke… Fake and lie
Actually it isn’t since the mali-760 can have up to 16 cores, however they are using the MP2 version which only means two cores. They aren’t saying that their phone has 16 cores but they are saying that the mali-760 has 16 cores.
ALU’s are shader units not cores, you’re right they can count as cores when they add a complete cluster for example: 760MP40->760MP8.
Each cluster has 8 ALU/shaders so 760MP2 = 16 ALUs, not cores.
u’re gay , so shut up…
#CHEAPCELLMASTERRACE!
You’re having cheap-orgsasm right now
AHAHA đ nice one , @duartebruno:disqus , see how we handle sarcasm and humor here!
^^
What if he was gay? So far, his post has a LOT more value than yours.
Now, what’s your excuse for being homophobic and ignorant?
wait , you think i ACTUALLY insulted his orientation ?!
HELL NO! i was actually trying to joke through his username , like they do in schools e.g “ur so gay for this/that”
in fact read @disqus_Ey3pzBvAwu:disqus ‘s reply and see how we actually handle humor here !
don’t mind him muhammad he can’t take a joke! He’s too busy acting butthurt!!!
yeah… that was quite evident .
I didn’t find anything homophobic about his post at all. Are we not allowed to mention the word “gay”? If someone has the word “gay” in their username calling them “gay” isn’t being ignorant at all. Just like if I refer to you as Bruno.
actually , as i have mentioned several times already , i never used the word to ridicule anyone’s orientation by any means. I was just trying to joke a bit through using the other sense of the word , they commonly use at high school level. the fact that his name contained the word would have made it even funnier..
but i think Duarte failed to see that.
I did fail actually.
Your post did look to me like high school bullying and nothing else. You have cleared so I guess the issue is over.
BTW, long ago (20+ years) a high school colleague trying to act smart when he slacked on his English homework (which was supposed to be a self portrait) walked to the chalkboard and just wrote this:
“I think I’m a nice gay.”
He was the laughing stock of the class for quite a while, even though he realised and corrected his typo in less than 5 seconds. Too little too late.
I wouldn’t be surprised if PolishGUY was making the same mistake.
dude..
@JeepNL:disqus , not u too
The T760 is 16 cores…..
They are doing fuzzy math by counting ALU’s as cores. If that’s the case my Radeon 7950 has 1792 cores and my GTX 960 has 1024 cores.
They are counting shader cores, the Mali 760 can scale up to 16 shader cores. They may not be true “cores” but that is the terminology that ARM uses for them and it has become industry standard to refer to the Mali 760 as a 16 core GPU.
I want to buy, do Elephone ships to India?
If I can get my hands on one at this price, yes, crazy not to. Bargain )
And where we can buy it?
“Update: The sale will take place on the 25th April at Elephone.cc.” đ
Not Elephone.cc anymore, Elephone have told us it will be held at another URL, details once we know them
Notice: Since IMX214 run out of stock and in order to meet the production goal on time, some of P7000 uses IMX135 camera sensors!!!
Good deal I will try to buy it. If its not good I will sell it at ebay…:-)
Does anybody know, what time zone use elephone.cc?
What do you mean by time zone?? They are based in Hong Kong if that is what you are asking.
I mean, what time they will use (USA or China) to open this deal. For example Aliexpress starts they deals at 00.00 for Los Angeles.
Elephone tell us the sale will not take place at Elephone.cc. We will add the correct link when we get it
Not on the 25th either. That’s just reservations for sale. Sale is actually on the 11th of May, ffs.
Mannn.. I wish I could buy it & get it delivered to Indiyeah!!!
Why can’t you? Most resellers ship to India…
i am afraid to pre-order it then discover the commercial lies
like the kingzone z1 (only lies and lies )
i prefer to wait the full review by gizhina
if the review is good, then there will be repentance of not captialising on that super price!
I’m one of the “lucky” people who bought the Kingzone Z1 on presale. ?
Honestly I’d rather pay 20-30$ more and be sure the advertised specs are real.
Do you tear your phone apart and examine every component and match it against the spec sheet? That’s the only true way to know if everything is real.
No I didn’t, but I don’t think every user and reviewer that had the chance to test this phone lied about these aspects.

I hate it when chinese companies advertise themselves with “false” info like the picture about Mali GPU. I know that the info itself is “right” but it’s totally misleading advertisement and it makes them look really…. cheap shot b@%$#rds!
That is the industry standard for describing the Mali 760. Every tech blog, journal and press release refers to the Mali as a 16 core GPU.
I know, that’s why I say that the info is right… but they use it for their benefit misleading people they don’t know much about technology.
People who don’t know much about technology won’t be misled by seeing something like “16 cores” as they won’t have any clue what the really means. I also don’t know too many consumers who purchase smartphones based off of GPU advertisements.
You come to a site, and you see that image… 16 cores GPU super duper wow and next to this text is the advertised phone! What you will think?
Can’t explain it better than that.
I decided to test this out, I showed that add to three different people. Two who had no clue about mobile GPU’s and one who did. The two who didn’t had no reaction either way to the add, they asked questions like “is 16 cores good or bad” and “how is the camera”. They could care less about the advertisement.
The one who knew about tech, said “they are stretching the truth on that one”. You are someone who obviously knows a thing or two about mobile gpu’s which is why it bothered you so much. But to the average consumer it is nothing more than advertising specs. Unless they know about the subject matter they will have no clue whether they are being misled or not.
Elephone you now have my attention but mlais is still number 1 right now in my heart, let’s see who win the battle

Does any one have experience with elephone.cc. I didn’t receive order confirmation, but did pay. Paypal confirmation. I am getting zero response from elephone.cc. I ordered the P6000
I have the same experience, I ordered the p6000 11 days ago, not a
single word and they don’t react to email, I am about to raise a paypal
dispute
Actually Elephone just send an email telling me it has been shipped. No communication and 12 days later but anyway it seems it’s on its way
That’s nice. I still have no confirmation, no response and no order confirmation. Only payment by paypal was succesfull. Nothing further.
I did receive an email when I bought it and if you log into their website your order should showup as Processing
Hmm… I’m affraid something went wrong then with my order. I see nothing in order history and received nothing…. I think I will try to get my money back through paypal… Thanks for the replies!!
Have you tried contacting the company you ordered from?
Multiple times…. no response…
I would contact Paypal asap then.
I pre ordered a P7000, then tried emailing them, never got a response, emailed them again. Still no response have just filed a paypal dispute that’s no way to run a business.
How did they ship it? If it is shipped by regular mail (i.e. China Post you can expect to wait anywhere from 7-40 days depending on where you live to receive it. It was DHL/Fed Ex the longest you should wait is about 2 weeks, which includes processing times and time to clear customs.
Singapore Post. I’m sure it will be slow but it’s ok as long as I can avoid customs!
Where do you live? I have had mixed results with Singapore Post. I used them three times to Thailand and once to the US. Amazingly the time to the US took less time.
Ireland. I have some experience with Deal Extreme. Can take up to 5 weeks but it always arrived. I think that is China Post
Too bad i preordered mine yesterday. I already mailed elephone.cc what i can do best, i mean 60 bucks is a lot of difference. If id knew i would wait another week.

The side bezels are just so huge with the phone that is why the dimensions are so big.
Why its support so few LTE bands, the chip is the same as for many others that have more bands. Is it hard for manufactors to provide this? Is it only software related if the chip is the same?
LTE is provided by a modem(aka radio) in the phone. Usually a phone will only support the bands where it is most likely to be sold.
Thx bud. Now they included the 20 band in their specs.

I must say thet Elehone is open about the production problems. PR-material now states that:
“Notice: Since IMX214 run out of stock and in order to meet the production
goal on time, some of P7000 uses IMX135 camera sensors”
One of the biggest differences is that:
– the IMX135 has less options in HDR video.
– IMX214 has somewhat more pixels (13.42MP vs 13.51MP)
– IMX214 is built to be smaller (reduced height)
– IMX214 can work with less power consumption
– IMX214 has slightly different/better sensitivity

About the HDR video:

IMX214: 30 frame/s

IMX135: 30 frame/s
IMX214: 60 frame/s
So, the question is: which devices are being sold with the IMX135 and which ones with the IMX214 ?! Where to buy for a better camera? đ
Just spotted that too and fired off an email to Andi.
Sounds pretty cert the ‘promotion’ devices will be missing the IMX214. Not worth the punt now in my opinion.
Hi Steve I’m interested
in elephone p7000 but Dont won’t
the inferior imx 135 camera sensor, where and who is selling the imx214 elephone p7000. Thanks
Will need Elephone to come clean to know that I’m afraid. The P7000 is still in presale at normal price, so this ‘sale’ doesn’t make sense. My suspicion is standard presale might have IMX214, discounted presale probably not, but with nearly 30 days till they ship nobody can know for sure till too late. Perhaps the factory screwed up, hence the sudden sale, but for me now not worth the risk, shame.
Thanks Steve. Brilliant info

Dear customers:
ELE codes are not sent out yet, that’s why you didn’t get them in your emails. After you made the reservation for limited flash sale, you’re qualified for the event on 11 May. The reservation is only for the qualification. People who didn’t make reservation aren’t able to snatch P7000 on 11 May. On the day, input your email and choose the online shop you chose, you might get the ELE code( 159.99 USD coupon code). If you snatch earlier, you have more chances to get one code.

From the designed picture they post, the phone looks good, but the actual phone, no, I don’t like the design. I prefer the design of OUKITEL U8.
I watched OUKITEL U8 presell video, really very good,i think suitable for me.
Yes, and it is Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. I think it will fix the bugs of Android 5.0

as I buy a elephone P7000 159 …?
as I buy a elephone P7000 159 …?
I have the phone came today and god the hardware is sturdy not filmsy. Looks expensive. The phone back clicks on and they designed it like one integrated piece so when you close it , it’s going to be hard to remove. Came with glass to lay over the screen and the glass is clear no distortion. Solid and slightly weighty because of the enormous battery. Looks like an iPhone and I hate iPhone but I enjoy this design. The is more sturdy solid than the filmsy Samsung phones. I don’t know if a guy wants to put it in his pocket but I am a gal so I put it in my backpack. I don’t mind it in my purse. I ran Dead Trigger and a bunch of other games, it played smoothly. 20 apps battery consuming open at once did not crash or lag, very fast phone. You can really feel the 3 go of ram Sound is okay slightly tin-like and high but I use earphones so it’s better. High volume on this device sounds like turning your Galaxy Note to 75 percent. I also wish the blacks on this device were deep black but I do design so I am picky about my displays. Battery life is slightly above average and the huge battery takes a while to charge , I will root this and see what I can do. Camera is clear and the camera with perfect use of light can take pretty good photos. This is coming from a photograher, you can any camera look crappy if you don’t use the correct lighting.
Overall, it looks good. It’s built sturdier than all of Samsung and the glass screen is awesome and better than my LG G3. Design has no unfinished edges. If you are getting this for a friend who has no idea about phones they won’t be able to tell the difference. Looks high end.
Charging Time: 7/10 (big battery)
Camera: 9/10
Design 10/10
Sturdiness: 11/10
Speed : 10/10
Performance wise 9.5 /10
Display 8.7/10 (blacks should be pitch black, I will try to calibrate my screen once I root it).
