Bad news for potential Nubia Z9 Max owners today after the company reveals that sales will be put back a month.
The Nubia Z9 Max and Mini were both announced at the end of March and since then the smaller Mini has been selling out faster than ZTE are able to make them.
Tomorrow was meant to be the day that the larger Nubia Z9 Max presale would start in China, but a message posted on Nubia’s official social media says that the sale has had to be postponed until next month.
Nubia say that there has been an issue in the CNC manufacturing process of the Nubia Z9 Max. According to the company the process takes 140 steps to complete and this is what is causing problems.

LOL, let me predict the 2015 Chinese lineup’s release schedule:
Rumor: One Plus Two, expected in third quarter says CEO.
Interpretation: Sometime in 2016 Q2, optimistically speaking.
Rumor: LeTV Phones: Registration May 5th….. (Engadget)
Interpretation: Just add 4-5 months more to have one in your hands.
Rumor: Nubiz Z9: “PRESALES” were meant to start yesterday. (ROFL, PRESALES)
Interpretation: Presales now start on 16th May. Widespread availability: Well, just add a mere 6 months.
I know how to interpret Chinese Mobiles’ release dates quite well! 😀
letv max for me then !!!
id happily wait for this as it ticks all the box’s great SoC, a generous 3gb ddr4 ram, dont mind that it has only 16gb rom as it has expandable memory, 2 good camera’s, looking forward to it, just struggling to find supported frequencies, would like to know if it would work in the UK.
FDD-LTE:B1/B3/B7
WCDMA:850/900/1900/2100
GSM:850/900/1800/1900
Will work with EE and 3
sweet my contract is with 3, so looks like this phone is top of my list so far 😀
Nubia Z9 is an interesting high end smartphone, a real competitor for the galaxy note 4, galaxy s6, Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and the new P8 of Huawei.
