Update: Xiaomi Mi Note Pro coming May 6th, Bamboo Edition available for $415

Xiaomi’s top of the range Mi Note Pro will be on sale in China from the 6th May, while the Bamboo Edition of the phone is on sale to buy now.

The standard Xiaomi Mi Note has proven to be more than enough phone for myself, but if you feel you need the extra power and resolution the Pro model brings to the package then you don’t have long to wait before they will be available.

Xiaomi’s Mi Note Pro features the same slim glass and alloy design as the standard model, but some key updates allow it the Pro name. The 5.7-inch display for example is a 2K 2560 x 1440 resolution panel, there is also 4GB RAM on board and a Snapdragon 810. Personally the only update really worth the extra cost is 64GB of on board storage.

  From what I have seen in various tests and from what I have read from people who have the phone battery life is only slightly worse than the Mi4, despite the larger screen. On my Mi4 I can get about 2 days out of the battery with normal usage.

Do you have a source links for the news? in which shops will the Note Pro be available from May 6th? is it the white version only or also the black version? 🙂

xiaomi is so slow in rolling out their products, the Note Pro was set for March.
I don’t think Xiaomi is heading the right way with these new prices, just look at the Jiayu s3 advanced, great price and specs

  The Jiayu S3 is a very good midrange device. The Note Pro is a flagship comparing them is useless. The Mi Note Pro has more ram (4GB), more on board storage (64GB), a better display (2k), and a better soc (810). That is why its costs more than the S3.
