Ulefone Be Touch Teaser shows Touch ID style fingerprint scanner

After switching names from the Dare N1 to the Ulefone Be Touch, a new teaser has been revealed showing a Touch ID style fingerprint scanner on the new device.

We are still not sure when Ulefone are planning to officially launch their Be Touch model, but their timing would suggest that the company want to throw a spanner in the works for rivals Mlais and Elephone. All 3 companies are now readying to launch competing phones all of which are based on the same basic ingredients; Meditek MT6752, 3GB RAM, LTE, Fingerprint scanner and FHD display.

The difference is that Ulefone have gone for a front mounted fingerprint touch sensor while Elephone and Mlais have rear mounted sensors.

The above teaser also claims that the Be Touch flagship will be capable of Antutu scores of 45,000 points. An impressive number, but we are more interested to have a stable Lollipop build out of the box.

I’d like more manufacturers to use front fingerprint scanners like Meizu and samsung , it’s easier to wake up the phone without changing grip.
    but
this obsession with Antutu scores is not healthy , it’s silly !
and cloning a iPhone has never been a good thing .

Elephones P7000 will be very huge with its length of 155mm but I would prefer a more compact mobile phone.

I prefer this style of front mounting the touch sensor, would this also wake the device like the iPhones or would you have to wake it then use the sensor?

Despite the “so called iPhone cloning”, I still like the design. Might buy one when they release it.

I’m very happy with the Ulefone Be Pro, except with the camera in low light (auto white balance not working). So I am interested by this new phone with the Sony sensor. But I will not use the fingerprint because I think it is totally crazy to couple your physical caracteristics with virtual accounts. That was the missing link to put the whole population on police files. Profile, lots of data, fingerprint …
