UMi’s very strong 5-inch phone, the UMi Hammer, goes on sale today through numerous reseller stores from just $139.99.
The UMi Hammer is the first UMi phone to launch in 2015 and the first device from the company to feature a 64bit processor and LTE support. The Hammer is a unique device, being one aimed at young, budget conscious phone buyers who want a phone that can take a beating. Unlike a traditional rugged phone featuring a rubber body, UMi have used a strong alloy chassis and Gorilla glass for durable budget phone. To see how durable watch the video below.

Are we gonna get a “Best phones under 300$ you can buy on April” article before May?
That would be a great idea! I’d rather wait for the releases of the other phones though before making this list. And for the umi hammer. Good to see they release at the date they promised. However owning (and having trouble with) an Umi Zero I’ld advice users not to jump on the phone but wait for a good review and Lollipop update.
Sure we can get on it 😀
I am not in a hurry. I would prefer if you waited till April 26 for all the phones to come out especially the new Xiaomi and Zenfone 2(India release) so that we get the best options.
I hope you will post a review of Zenfone 2 if possible.
Thanks. 🙂
I would probably buy one if only it had WCDMA 850Mhz support. But, like many of the brand name Chinese phones it doesn’t.
UMI is an Fake company – It does not even have any adress or contact and support information on their homepage – be aware!!
I along with many others here have bought UMI phones in the past and can say there is nothing fake about them. They have a support section on their website, you fill out the webform. I have used it in the past they usually respond within 1 business day. In my experience they are one of the better companies at customer service. They also have a fairly active forum on their website with a good support section.

Yes, webform that does not work , and no adress nor any phone numbers, nor any e-mail adress and nor any Company info.- Sorry that sounds as Scam to me
I can tell you from personal experience, as many others here who own Umi phones can, that it is not a scam. I looked on two of the largest Chinese Phone companies websites Oppo and Xioami. I couldn’t find a phone number or address on either of their English websites. Not sure why you would want any of those to begin with unless you plan on visiting China and are fluent in Mandarin. Umi is a relatively new company and they do list company info on both their website and their Google+ page which also has an email:
