The OnePlus One finally receives a feature it was promised way back at launch. “Hey OnePlus” is now activated in the latest CM12 update.
There aren’t many phones on the market which enjoy a whole new ROM, as well as updates for it’s original system, but this is exactly the case for the OPO. Shortly after releasing their own OxygenOS ROM, Cyanogen have released CM12, and now there is an update for that too.
Gizchina News of the week
The latest version of CM12, YNG1TAS17L, fixes a few issues with the previous build, but the major addition is the inclusion of voice assistant features activated by the phrase “Hey OnePlus”. The phrase replaces “OK Google”, and was promised as a feature of the 2014 Flagship killer during the early days of OnePlus.
The update asks users to train your OnePlus in to learning how you speak and sound for better recognition. The update is rolling out on OPO phones right now, users should keep an eye on update notifications over the coming days.

After the first Lollipop update and this one follows. The One Plus voice training is difficult so it does not interest me. The Antutu score with the latest update get close to 50K ( 49768) in my phone – the higest so far in Antutu apps (tops Meixu X4 and Note 4)
Thanks bb25. Its just that my Antutu apps showed it be on top of MX4 and Note 4.I have read that One Plus did score over 50K on Oxyen OS. After the update to the latest Lollipop (3 updates so far), it went from 47K+ to 49K+ in Antutu. Still, One Plus is an amazine phone (it can read my 3TB USB hard drive via OTG!) for the price of $350 a year back.
Still I believe MX4 is a better phone.
They are all good phones and Antutu really isn’t the best way to judge any phone. Manufacturers have figured out ways to artificially raise their Antutu scores.
What is a balcobomber? Or is it just a derived name from some circumstance? It intrigues me.
It dates back to American baseball. BALCO was a laboratory that produced steroids for several players. The biggest player of them all was Barry Bonds, who broke multiple home run records. His jersey number was 25. It started out as fantasy baseball team name and kind of just evolved into my online persona. The guy in the picture is an American Football (NFL) coach, Bill Belichick.
I’ve wondered the same for a while lol, cheers for explaining! 🙂
