Vivo are focusing on teasing their Vivo X5Pro, but is that really the only phone the Chinese phone maker have? Leaks of the Vivo Xhot3 suggests no.
Vivo have been teasing details of their upcoming Vivo X5Pro. Those official teasers point at long battery life a 3D curved display and advanced camera features.
So while Vivo have been talking about the X5Pro, what have the tipsters been looking at? Today’s leaks claim to show images of the next generation Vivo Xshot, the Xshot3.
In the images the device has a similar camera design to the Xshot but on the left side rather than the center. An rounded alloy chassis looks more comfortable than the current Xshots and retains a physical shutter button.
Gizchina News of the week
Along with the photos, hardware details have been posted too. As well as an 8 mega-pixel front camera, and 16 mega-pixel sensor with OIS and laser focus, the Vivo Xshot3 could also have a Snapdragon 810 SoC and 4GB RAM!
It remains to be seen if the details are correct or not, but they certainly are exciting.
Would be nice. Just that Vivo is known to price products high. Can’t fault with that given the quality of their products. Uhmmm. Does the Nubia Z9 Max come with OIS also?
I don’t think the Z9 Max has OIS. I could be mistaken though.
i wish that every phone will come with an extra button that you can chose what it will do: camera, open app, answer phone, open GPS, activate google voice
The last one I remember has this feature is LG Optimus G. After LG move button to the rear since LG G2, those feature was omitted.
Do vivo have something against even numbers? Lol this was rumoured the other day to have 20mp camera, this sounds more likely though. Surprised to see the sd810 mentioned as the specs are looking very similar to what I would expect the xplay 5 to have. This is sounding very expensive even by Vivo’s standards.
Isn’t 16 still an even number?
I think he meant more the name. Instead of the X4 they have the X5, instead of Xshot 2 its Xshot 3.
As for the OP, too much is made over MP’s these days. They are just one factor in determining a great camera. The 13MP camera in the original Xshot took better photo’s than some phones with 16 and 20mp sensors.
The name is exactly what I meant, is it considered bad luck or something in China! Lol
I don’t know because they do have models with even numbers like Y18, Y20 and Y22.
So did OPPO.
N1 > N3 , R1 > R5 , Find 5 > Find 7
but don’t forget there is Vivo Y22
This might be just what I am looking for. Hope they can keep the price reasonable at least.
I’m gonna go rob a bank,brb.
Might want to rob two just in case….
Looooooooooooooool … I couldnt help laughing so much after reading your response to MaxPower. U are funny man.
hopefully the original becomes a cheaper alternative once this is released.
It already is a cheaper alternative here in Thailand. It is discounted down to $350, $300 if you are good at bargaining. That is a steal for one of the best camera phones ever made.
cost 10,990 baht in Thailand now which is approximate 366 US Dollar.
one thing to consider is Vivo Xshot in Thailand still stuck in 4.3 Jelly bean even today.
I could care less about Jelly Bean or Kit Kat as long as it has a stable working OS. Most likely I will end up putting MIUI on it anyways.
As of today’s exchange rate it is actually about $337 USD. But that’s if you get in one of the store (Powerbuy, TG, Vivo Shop etc). A few of the independent shops in MBK I checked with would go as low as 10,300 ($316). Could probably even get them lower than that.
I do know of those shops in MBK but haven’t been. Are they legit shops and are those handsets originals or copies?
Most of them in MBK are legit, the ones that aren’t are pretty easy to recognize, like the ones selling Galaxy S4’s for 3000 baht (for those not in Thailand thats less than $100). The two best for Chinese phones is AOB (located at the far end near Tokyu Department Store) and 55shop located near the escalators coming down from the 5th floor. I have used them many times both for sales and repairs. They sell all genuine phones. Sometimes they are actual Thai phones, other times they are imported from countries like Hong Kong or Malaysia.
Fantastic. Thanks for the update balcobomber25. 55shop – haha.
You live in Thailand?
I actually prefer Fortune Town for my electronics but it’s hard to find Chinese phones there (except the ones that officially sold here like Oppo and Lenovo). The level of service at FT is above and beyond the rest and being away from Sukhumvit it’s never as crowded.
No balcobomber25 don’t live there, just a frequent visitor. Speak a little bit of Thai hence my reference there..
Never been to Fortune Town before, shame about the lack of Chinese phones there. The service at MBK can be pretty average sometimes, hence my earlier question about the shops you mentioned. However will look these up on my next visit in June and hopefully by then the Xshot will have fallen further in price too. Need a new smartphone with a decent night time camera and the Xshot seems like my best bet currently.. That of course may change by the time I get out there.
Yea the reference completely went over my head lol. The Xshot 2 is coming out soon the original should see even further price counts soon. I’m waiting till the Thai Mobile Expo in May to buy mine.
SD810, great for warming your cold fingers in the winter and frying an egg in the summer.
Let’s hope the lens butt is made out of sapphire.
Snapdragon 810, not a good choice. .
i think yhere is not x5pro but the xplay 5 pro who is comming
