Breaking: Mlais announce Mlais M7 full specifications

mlais m7 specifications

Today Mlais have finally announced the full specifications for the Mlais M7, a flagship phone with 64bit SoC and integrated fingerprint scanner. Here are the full specifications.

Mlais had kept us on our toes all month with teasers of their new Mlais M7 device. Hot off the back of the Mlais M52 launch, the M7 has been a highly anticipated phone but what do you think now the final specifications are here? Keep reading and let us know.

The M7 will go up against the likes of the JiaYu S3, Ulefone Be Touch, iOcean Rock MT6752 and Elephone P7000, for the phone to pack anything less than a 64bit MT6752 chipset would have been suicide, so it is good to see the correct processor is on board and with a good 3GB RAM for ease of multi-tasking.

16GB memory comes as standard, but on its own wouldn’t be enough for many users so Mlais have included room for an SD card (up to 64GB), and there are also slots for 2 x SIM cards.

Dimensions of the M7 are 149.5 x 76.8 x 8.9mm, with a 5.5-inch display up front, touch ID style fingerprint reader on the rear and 2600mAh battery in the middle. If that battery sounds a little small then keep in mind the screen is a HD 1280 x 720 not a FHD model, also the battery support 5V-1000ma fast charging.

Cameras are a 13 mega-pixel main camera with auto-focus and dual LED “True Flash” while the front camera is an 8 mega-pixel sensor with wide 88 degree lens.

With a 64bit MT6752 SoC at the heart of the phone it is good to see that Android 5.0 will come on the phone. We also see LTE support with FDD-LTE B1/3/7/20 (800/1800/2100/2600) supported. Other network support is WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz and GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz.

Renders of the Mlais M7 show that there will be a while and black model available, but at this time we don’t know when the phone will be up for sale or how much it is going to be. The only detail we do know is that Mlais will run a competition soon asking fans to guess the price for a chance to win the new M7 phone.

I would have assumed they go for a 1080p screen to compete the likes of Jiayu S3, Meizu M1… Renders look nice though and it has an extra gig RAM compared to the M52. Anything beyond 10-20$ more than M52 I feel is overpriced for just 720p. Considering the 1080p Jiayu S3 selling for 200$ and the 720p M52 for 160$ they put themselves under pressure offering a “second edition” M52. If the M1 Note wasn’t well above 200€ over here, I’d already bought one…

GPU in MT6752 in long term is not good for FullHD. It’s perfect for 720p.

Perhaps this time Mlais didn’t lied about battery but camera sensor seems the same interpolated BS like in M52. Also those renders pictures…..

The bezels around the screen will be so ugly.

Looks good to me if the price is right, small battery may prove to be a bit of a silly move but I don’t mind the 720p screen, should help make for a super smooth ui…

Head says HD screen is just fine, heart wants FHD because anything less is not a flagship phone. M52 HD screen is absolutely perfect, I have no complaints about it at all. What I would REALLY like to know is the camera quality. The 13mp and 8mp on the M52 are interpolated, and to be honest, acceptable but not flagship standard. The battery is another issue, apparently not the claimed capacity of 3200mah.I can just about manage a day of light to moderate use.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on the reviews.

    720p is a bummer,especially at 5.5 inch since that’s some 267ppi.
The height is decent and bellow average but the width is a bit much so the bezels are on the bulky side.(and the renders likely not all that accurate).
Other than that it’s pretty nice.

I’ll call it M7 “born to be a loser” edition, definitely a step aside with only HD screen and crapy battery, P7000 own this

The lenght is very good but it’s a pitty having only 720p.

The battery is to small. The p7000 is definitely a better unit considering it’s pre release.

On almost all pictures of a smartphone, even some real life pictures of the phone or renders done in Photoshop by the smartphone manufacturers, you will find them placing a screenshot of the OS on the screen with Photoshop and other similar software.

To get an actual feel of how much bezels the screens actually have, wait for some actual pictures of the device with the screen turned on that is not renders like these ones were. And even with authentic leaks you can not be sure of the bezels, just look at Oppo R7 with 2,5D glass on the screen which makes the phones screen from above look like you don’t have any bezels on the side of the phone. But actually there are some bezels.

looks promising… , would love to see a REAL LIFE model to gauge the bezel size AND

Why does it seems so hard just to make a Jiayu S3 with better camera (and possibly LTPS FHD screen)?

gorilla glass 3 is a must for me, i dont like to be using an extra layer of plastic or crystal covering the screen when there is a screen that does that already.
