About a week back, we told you about this new colorful phone that China’s Doogee was prepping. Known as the Doogee Valencia 2 Y100, the phone is now on sale for quite an affordable price.
The specifications might not be very 2015, but the device does look like something to contend with, especially if you’re looking for a super-affordable phone as a second device, or perhaps something for your not-so-tech-savvy mum.
Full specifications of the Doogee Y100 include a 5-inch 1280 x 720p display, 1GB of RAM, an octa-core processor with a 1.4GHz clock (MediaTek MT6592m) along with 8GB of on-board storage, a 13 mega-pixel camera (apparently made by Sony), and lastly, an 8 mega-pixel front facing camera.
The phone also features a little touch panel on the rear, akin to devices like the OPPO N1, iNew V8, etc.
The phone is on sale $99 shipped via GearBest. Like mentioned earlier, it isn’t the most powerful phone you’ll come across this year, but it yet appears to be a decent buy for those who don’t call themselves power users.
2gb ram would be great on an octa core device
1GB is okay for nearly everything, but I would rather paid 10 extra dollars for 2GB of RAM.
Still for $100 it a okay deal.
I have a redmi 1s, 1gb ain’t enough. They should’ve swapped the rear touch panel for a gig of ram.
MIUI there is your problem, Doogee ROMs are basically stock Android plus wake gestures, a shitty launcher and 2-3 third-party apps, that leaves you about 700mb for your shit.
MIUI isn’t the problem, the user is. I use MIUI on my Nexus 7 with 1GB of RAM and have no issues whatsoever. But I only use it for the basics (movies, music, a few light games).
Unfortunately, Doogee installed their own ROM on the Y100. No stock this time.
I wouldn’t pay $10 for another crap handset from Doogee.
Doogee are always cheap on the RAM part, only handset they have with 2GB of ram is the DG900, which still sells for crazy money. The Valencia 2 phone for 99$ is a good deal guys, because their build is not bad, and design is original, also they do updates regularly on their devices.
