Small Pepper are one of the more cult Chinese phone makers, who we don’t hear of much outside of China, but could that change with the Small Pepper 9?
You may not have heard of them, but Small Pepper have a cult following in China and were one of the first brands that we actually reported in here at GizChina. Back in the day they were the first smartphone maker to release a budget dual-core and then quad-core phone, which gained a lot of attention for them.
These days in the saturated phone market, Little Pepper rely on their fans to keep going and launch decent phones a couple of time a year for the Chinese market.
Gizchina News of the week
The Little Pepper 9 is their latest and has just received TENAA approval. The phone measures 144.9 x 71 x 10.6mm at a weight of 160g. The thick body means that a 4700mAh battery has enough room to fit and power a quad-core MT6735 chip and 5-inch display.
Other details include 2GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel main camera, 2 mega-pixel front, and space for a 64GB SD card. TENAA are listing the phone with GSM, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE only so don’t expect the phone to go on sale outside of China.
