Another stylish mid-ranger! Spy photos of the Siswoo i8 with 2.5D display

siswoo i8 leaks

Siswoo already have a couple of phones on sale already, the Siswoo Cooper i8 and the Monster R8. Now to fill the demand for a stylish mid-range phone meet the Siswoo i8 in these spy photos!

This year the Chinese phone market is going crazy for 2.5D glass displays. Those are the displays with a curved edge and give a nice body to screen transition. High end phones from Oppo and Vivo use the screen tech, and now also mid-range devices like the new Siswoo i8 will come equipped with it too.

These spy photos of the Siswoo i8 show the tapered glass display joining a golden alloy chassis creating an exquisite smartphone aimed at customers looking for a well made and good-looking mid range smart phone.

Gizchina News of the week

With a little hunting around we have also learned that the Siswoo i8 will likely come equipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop running on an octacore Mediatek MT6752 64bit chipset, and 2GB RAM.

The Siswoo i8 is the second interesting smartphone we have seen from this Chinese start-up in a week. The first being the Siswoo R9 Darkmoon device with secondary e-ink display and 3GB RAM.

Another stylish Siswoo, if it’s priced right it could be a decent buy. I am starting to love this new company.

If 5.5 inch is a monster, what are the 6+ inch phones?

Lot of ladies would disagree that 5.5 is a monster.

im from pakistan , but i think most sites actually ship to NA afaik. but you’re better off asking balcobomber25 , as he’s better acquainted with the logistics of smartphones.

Most websites deliver globally. China phones moving to the US or Europe are mostly re-branded, so they receive a new name and a higher price tag. I would just find yourself a good reseller website and just buy straight from China 🙂

They are not phones, they are phablets (and above 7 inches – tablets).

It’s great to see a new company coming out with their own designs rather than just cloning existing ones. Only downside seems to be disappointing cameras they are fitting, even their flagship has a mediocre 8mp snapper.

I wouldn’t exactly call this design anything groundbreaking or new, it looks like something straight out of a Huawei box. But I do love the design they are using.

So you now love large top bezels? Can’t see the bottom one but it’s probably large too! Lol

I have never had a problem with bezels….

Bezels are one of the last things I look at when deciding if I like a phones styling or not. I care more about what the back looks like, screen size, how thin it is (hate anything over 8.9 mm), the color and if it is a clean and simple design.

Fair enough. I’ve come to the realization that I tend to like phones that don’t look like the iPhone 5. LG, HTC, Samsung, OPO,Vivo, Asus, Lenovo, LeTv, Mate 7 etc don’t. Most phones including this Siswoo look like the iPhone. The list is too long but includes Xiaomi, most Huawei’s and on and on.

I don’t think any of the phones look a thing like Apple other than being square and white.

Another day I’ve heard that Siswoo is a company from Zopo, if it is true. Looks like Zopo is trying to rebuild the trust on them from this company, because unlike them, the Siswoo is bringing pretty cool devices for decent price.

      true…

I remember a time when Zopo was one of the best brands in China, since then they have taken a nose dive off a cliff into the ocean. It’s just been boring release after boring release.
