Oppo R7 and R7 plus launched full specifications

Early today in Beijing, Oppo officially announced the launch of the Oppo R7 and the larger Oppo R7 Plus. Here are the full specifications.

If you are a fan of smaller phones then the 5-inch Oppo R7 might grab your attention. The phone costs 2499 Yuan in China and sports a 5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, 8 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel Samsung rear camera. Oppo are especially proud of the main camera of the R7 with fast 0.7 second start time and 0.1 second PDAF focus. The alloy R7 measures in at 143 x 71 x 6.3mm

The larger Oppo R7 Plus has a 6-inch 1080p display, the same camera hardware, rear fingerprint scanner and larger 4100mAh battery at a cost of 2999 Yuan. The phablet size R7 Plus measures 158 x 82.3 x 7.75mm.

Both the Oppo R7 and Oppo R7 Plus come with an octacore Mediatek MT6795 chipset, 3G RAM, 32GB internal storage, ColorOS (based on Android Kitkat), and VOOC fast charging. However, it is worth noting that the international version of the Oppo R7 has an octacore Snapdragon 615 chipset rather than the MTK SoC. There is also space for either dual SIM cards or a single SIM and Mrico SD.

~~Although both the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus have made an appearance in China, only~~

the smaller 5-inch Oppo R7 has arrived on Oppo’s international products listing. The Oppo R7 Plus is also listed on the international Oppo pages too.

The Plus is listed (and has been for a few hours) on the international site http://www.oppo.com/en/products/r7plus
The Plus would be nice with a faster SoC and a much better price, the small one looks like a very shiny 50$ phone.,their design team got stuck in 2012.

When you are in the market for a dual sim phone, you are obviously looking for a phone that is an all-in-one solution. Pretty good chance that this also implies the need for sufficient storage capacity. I just don’t see why a manufacturer chooses this halfheartedly solution.
For me this automatically means I won’t be buying an Oppo. Hopefully Vivo will do better(?).

  This solution is almost a standard….if you need a “real dual sim+sd” take a look at Nubia Z9 Mini 😉

    Thanks. Unfortunately you are both right. To bad the specsrace is headed towards thinner and ‘bezel less’, rather usefull features.
    By the way, I currently use the Nubia Z7 Max and I’m very happy with it. Only two (rather important) things missing are LTE B20/800mhz and Bluetooth aptx. Otherwise a near perfect phone for it’s price and I probably wouldn’t even be looking for a new phone.

  This solution is kind of the middle ground for manufacturers of dual sim vs SD card. They can still boast they have dual sim capability while still offering expanded storage. It’s marketing more than anything as its not practical for someone like you who actually needs dual SIM.

    yep still a bad time to release this with the letv being released yesterday :/ especially the letv one for 250~300€ with about the same (if not better) specs and the one pro with far better specs… still cheaper

      yes but the leTV doesn’t have a super AMOLED screen and that makes a huge difference for me and I want to see what the 13 mpix Samsung camera can do as well

        i had a samsung with super amoled and switched to a huawei with ips, didnt really notice the difference (might also be because i didnt care, since it had better specs xD)

        The Samsung 13Mp unit in the Meizu M1 produced very good pictures.

      Oppo isn’t really concerned with a smaller brand like LeTV for a few reasons. One they have their loyal following of customers who will always overpay for the brand name. Two unlike a lot of smaller brands OPPO has stores all over the world where you can buy their products. Many outside of China (and forums like this) have never even heard of LeTV.

        Officially they are sold in about 20 countries. Here in Thailand they have an official presence in just about every mall or tech store you go to, it is like that in several South East Asian countries.

Any remote plans to buy this phone(overseas) would be killed by used of SD615 instead of MT6795
