Gionee M5 featuring 6000mAh battery and Amoled display on TENNA!

It has been a month with many rumors about the new flagship of Gionee, but it seems the company has more to show us soon, taking a ride on the growing market of large batteries, a new monster featuring 6000mAh battery made its apparition in Tenna.

Their new arrival, called the Gionee M5 focuses squarely on battery life, aiming to satisfy consumers who ask for a high capacity battery as a priority on a phone. The Gionee M5 boasts dual-batteries combined, in order to reach the capacity of 6000mAh!

According to sources, the 6000mAh battery on Gionee M5 should be enough for a full 4 days of use, with one single charge. Also acting as a power bank for charging other devices if needed.

The Tenna listing also indicates that the device comes with a 1.3Ghz Quad-Core processor, likely a 64bit Mediatek chip but the model is to be confirmed, 2GB of Ram and 16GB of Storage, and 8MP rear camera. As is the norm for new phones, the M5 will get Android 5.0 as standard, meaning Gionee’s Amigo 3.0 ROM.

The dimensions are just 152 x 76 x 8.6mm allowing the Gionee M5 to have a 5.5-inch HD display. An interesting fact here is that Gionee are using an AMOLED panel, so although the resolution is lower than some 5.5-inch phones the quality should still be very good.

Gionee are set to launch the M5 in the coming weeks alongside the flagship Gionee Elife E8.
