Taiwanese PC gone phone maker, Asus are setting up a storm at Computex. They have already revealed their Zenfone Selfie and now there is the new Zenpad S 8.0 to drool over.

Asus were once the makers of the flagship Nexus tablet, and now they might well have one of the best looking Android tablets available of 2015. The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 combines a slim 6.6mm body and lightweight (298g) with a super high-resolution display and powerful processor.

The panel is a 8-incher with 2048 x 1536 resolution for a pixel density of 324ppi. Asus have followed a similar formula to their Zenfone 2 for the hardware side of the tablet with a 64bit Intel Atom CPU and 4GB RAM. Front facing speakers and DTS sound is a huge features on the tablet and will be much appreciated when gaming or watching movies.

Finally, have created a Z Stylus for the tablet. The optional accessory will allow you to write and draw on your ZenPad S 8.0 and measures up to 1024 levels of sensitivity, especially useful for budding artists.

The 8-inch ZenPad S 8.0 isn’t the only new ZenPad. There is also a 7-inch tablet and 10.1 model too, each available with LTE.

PHEW!!! Finally Asus have answered my prayers. I have been searching for a worthy 10 incher to replace my ageing Cube Talk 9X (A very solid tablet I must say) with preferably the Intel Atom SoC and 4GB RAM. I have looked around but was not satisfied with what other companies have on offer … either the screen is lesser than 10/9.7 inch or the internal memory is small (16GB-ish). I cant go below 32GB on any of my handheld devices.

Gotta seriously lookout for the 10.1 inch model. I am pretty sure they will be huge performers and multi-taskers just like their kid brother (Zenfone 2). Cant wait for thesee … haha!

Hey Ying, please keep us updated about these tabs.

Just the right one to replace my Tegra Note. Been looking for a replacement and was considering the Lenovo Yoga Tab 8 but this is another option. Having problems with the stylus of the Tegra and Nvidia promised to fix it and that was in December! Hope the Z stylus is better.
