It is that time of the year when a lot of Chinese phones are released. Gionee is among the bigger (yet, less talked about) OEMs in China, and it sure doesn’t want to miss out on the fun.
The next-in-line Gionee, aka the Elife E8 is all set to be launched this month. The phone has suffered (enjoyed?) some leaks in the past, and has also been the subject of a leaked hands on video, which you can watch here. The phone does look quite bulky thanks to the massive screen, but yet remains to be an exciting prospect.
Gizchina News of the week
The Elife E8’s claim to fame so far has been its rear camera which is rumoured to be capable of stitching together pictures in 100 mega-pixel resolution. 3GB RAM, MediaTek MT6795 SoC and other top-end internals will make the Elife E8, which also just got a release date.
The phone will launch in China on 10th June. So, we have quite a lot to look forward to this week and next; OnePlus’ impending announcement later today, Meizu’s ‘602’ event tomorrow, Huawei’s Honor 7 launch early next week, and then of course the Gionee Elife E8 on the 10th!
Daaaaamn it’s huge(
That’s what she said!!
Looking at the images the other day it appears to have stereo speakers, hopefully it will have decent audio quality to match the rest of the phone. Noticed it on pre-sale on some reseller sites for around $535 so much more expensive than their normal launch price.
