elephone p7000 ota

Elephone are rolling out an update for the Elephone P7000 which brings optimisations and fixes to the flagship phone.

If you have an Elephone P7000 you have more than likely discovered that it packs a mean punch in the hardware departement but needs a little help in the ROM side of things. Elephone know it too and are already rolling out the first OTA update for the phone.

Elephone say that they have added optimisations for the camera and the screen to help improve things and we will be installing the update once we get a chance to see what differecnes it brings to the phone. In the meantime take a look at the video Elephone have put together below:

Hmmm, doesn’t seem to do much about the brightness issues… Thanks for the update Andi, looking forward to a review! (hopefully before my order for the black model ships)

Thought the Clapton was pretty cool though 🙂

It’s the same ROM I am testing the handset with since day one. Not a new one. Elephone told me a new one will arrive ASAP and will unlock 100% brightness, improve performance and energy consumption. Let’s see!

Yeah I just saw a video review in which the reviewer mentions that he tested a very early p7000 rom and the brightness issue wasn’t present, so looking good! He also showed antutu scores in the 45000 range so it looks like these optimisations are working too. Looking forward to this handset a great deal.

I recieved my p7000 yesterday and tried to instal the ota update but it failed and now gives me an error and wont allow me to update over wifi now.
I have downloaded the roman from needrom but spflash tools is not finding the phone.
Hopefully when another ota update is available it will sort things out.

    Hi Andi 🙂

Please, make camera(photo and video) comparison between Xiaomi Mi Note, LETV and Elephone P7000, because they have the same sensor. :)))

Search p7000 video sample and then seach ecoo e04 video sample. You can compare different videos and my decition is that ecoo 04 has better flow in video and much better sound recording.

PS: my update is 21.94mb while that I saw on YouTube was 11.something MB. Why is this pls?

I have the exact same problem as you do. My P7000 arrived yesterday. I bought it from FREEGO (through Amazon). I reported the problem with the update to them immediately and now they’re asking me if I can find someone here locally in Italy who can work on it and fix it. I said to them…WAAAAAA? Uhhhh NO. So now I’m on the discussion boards hoping to find solutions with the rest of you.
