From next week Mlais will be choosing select fans on Facebook to receive a special coupon to buy the flagship M7 at a cut down price. Details of how many fans will be chosen and how long the offer will be available for will be announced on Monday via the Mlais Facebook page.

The Mlais M7 has a 5.5-inch HD display, 3GB RAM, MT6752 processor, LTE and fingerprint scanner on the rear.

Seems like flash and special sales are taking over the industry. That is one of the things I hate about Chinese phone companies is they can’t just sell a phone at a discounted price there always has to be some gimmick or condition applies. OPO has it’s invites, Xiaomi has it’s flash sales (with artificial supply shortages), Elephone just had their ELE codes.

Any chance they are trying to sell off 6752 units because Helio P10 is coming?

I would say there is very little chance of that being the reason. These type of sales have been going on even with brand new phones being released. There are still more 6752 phones in development that chip will be around for some time to smaller manufacturers. You won’t see the P10 available in mass devices till next year.

I doubt that we will see many Helio P10 devices, just like we hardly see MT6595 devices.

Older Mediatek chipsets are terrible, who cares.

The 6595 was far from terrible, it was one of the best SoC’s last year and as far as processing power goes it is just as good if not better as the 6752 that is used in virtually every midrange phone this year.

6752 is miles ahead you are cinfusing processing power with efficiency/64 bit inpeovements, and so on, cortex a7 looool..

In theory 64 bit is a lot better, but we are not seeing the “miles ahead” better because the software hasn’t taken advantage of it yet. In fact efficiency on most devices has taken a nose dive since 5.0 was released. And most apps are written in 32 bit and can’t take advantage of the 64 bit tech. It will be 1-2 years before there is clear cut advantage to 64 bit phones. For now a really good 32 bit is just as good as a really good 64 bit.

            MTK6595 was amazing, actually.

I would say the P10 will eventually be the new mid range go to SoC just like the 6752 is now and the 6592 was before it. The one that will be comparable to the 6595 is the X20, a few flagships will use it and then we won’t see much more of it.

Come on, ever heard of loss leaders? It’s a well known technique used in west to generate interest & demand! At least they’re not overpriced like Apple or Nintendo products that demand premium Price’s for less & hardly ever get discounted!

I know what it is designed for I just don’t agree with it. Apple products are so expensive for a number of reasons but the two biggest ones are the brand name they have built and subsidization in western markets. As for Nintendo their products are priced very competitive compared to their competition. In fact here in Thailand a brand new Wii U can be found for as low as $350 whereas the cheapest you will find the PS4 is about $600, Xbox One is about $650.

Well looks like Thailand subsidies EU as best price here in UK PS4 $382, Xbox ONE $412 (Amazon.uk Wiiu $214 if you import it from Amazon.fr same console $180!) IPhone 6 best without contract is $550 whilst Apple UK want $823! You hit nail on head Apple is a reknowned brand whilst most of these new China phones have to compete on price! Even Apple needed MS handouts before gaining the success they have now! 2 Apple products I’ve owned have failed, so much for Brand reputation! Something else they might want to address http://www.rfsafe.com/simultaneous-rating-iphone-6-sar-nearly-exceeds-legal-radiation-limits/

The EU prices especially on Amazon can depend a lot on where you live due to different tax regulations regarding imports. I have had a few Apple products I don’t like them (except Macbooks) but never had any problems with them.

            iP6 offcontract for 550$?
            where?
in Norway i can buy it for similar price, but with 1 year contract.
and when i’m allready writing, PS4 (and MS One) costs obout 500-600$, dipending on actions. WIi U is more like 400$

If that shop is safe, that is really good price (and the one for Note4).
But it’s confusing, iphone, galaxy note and some no name phones from china in same store.
Anyway… Flight from Norge to UK, just 50e…. And it’s nice to visit London in summer 🙂

lol $600? they’re screwed..too much as the price in western markets is about a half of that.

Yes it is but you have three options if you live here and want one:

            1. Hope you can find one on Amazon that ships internationally and then pay the very costly shipping charges. Hope that someone at Thai Customs doesn’t know what it is and it goes “missing” (happens a lot here), and hope they don’t charge tax when you go to pick it up. Also hope it doesn’t get damaged while shipping to Thailand.

            2. Buy a plane ticket to the US and bring one back yourself. Roundtrip airfare is about $1400.

            3. Swallow the pride and pay the $600 the charge in the shops.

Nintendo’s stuff is actually pretty cheap, at least compared to the competition.

Think Hardware price is not Nintendo’s problem. 3rd party Software coming late, minus DLÇ & Online gaming is! No GameCube Support is Travesty made worst by releasing GC adaptor for Super Smash Bros. One game! You’d think this would bring back Gamecube support via Virtual Console instead Nintendo introduce GBA!
