Doogee S6000 wants to shock with 6000mAh battery, and fast wireless charging

What has a 6000mAh battery, boasts Mediatek’s fast PumpExpress battery charging plus wireless charger? Believe it or not its the up coming Doogee S6000.

There has been some impressive news from Chinese phone makers these past few months, and what is more surprising is that Doogee are one of the names which are showing up more and more often with actual interesting devices!

It seems Doogee really have got some fire under them and are looking to capture some attention away from rivals while regaining some of it’s reputation it gained back when the company first started out.

The Doogee S6000 clearly stands out from the pack with a monster 6000mAh battery and fast charging that can give a 0-75% charge in just 30 minutes. The S6000 makes use of Mediatek’s PumpExpress Plus fast charging technology and even goes on to make the process cable free with integrated wireless charging.

With a 5.5-inch HD display, 1GB RAM and quad-core MT6735 chipset, the S6000 isn’t a high-performing flagship, but those modest specs are good for a claimed 5 days of usage, 2 days of heavy use and 40 days standby.

Other standout features include a 2.5D glass display, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 2.5mm narrow bezel design, 9mm thick alloy body (similar in look to the Xiaomi Mi Note), 5 mega-pixel front camera and 8 mega-pixel rear with dual LED flash and F2.0 aperture.

A launch date in August is scheduled with a launch price of just $139.99! Not bad at all for the money.

  This isn’t exactly a powerful phone with only 1 GB of RAM and the budget 64 bit GPU but it’s better than the previous crap they released. Hopefully their customer service improves as well.

This is a replica of Xiaomi MI Note.
Looks like Xiaomi reach the state when it is big/good enough to small companies start to make replica phones with worse spec.

  It’s not the first time Doogee has made a knock off Xiaomi, their owner (KVD) was the ones who made all the Mi4 clones, which actually weren’t that bad.

    I know that a knock off doesn’t necessary bad, but I don’t like the whole thing. If someone buys a phone because it looks like an expensive one to show other people that he has money to buy an expensive phone but he didn’t. Everybody should show himself, not the one, he thinks other people want to see.
    Just do their own design. I don’t want to look like someone else, and I don’t want my phone to looks something different too.

      I get that theory, I am not a huge fan of knock offs but if it’s a good phone and I like the design it doesn’t really bother me where the design originated.
      But not everyone buys a clone phone because they want to show off how much money they have. For some people they really love the design of a phone but just can’t afford it. Personally I love the design of the Mi Note but I can;t justify dropping $400 + on a new phone right now.

        A lot of clone phones are pure and utter crap that lie about specs and are just looking to con you out of your money. For instance everytime I go to the tech markets here in Thailand I see hundreds of “Samsung S4 and now 6’s” selling for hundreds less than they should be. They look like the real thing and even say Samsung on the back. But on the inside the specs aren’t even close.
        You have to be really careful when buying one. No.1 makes very good clones.

wow, mtk6735 phone has 6000mAh, so powerful, how long will it support in a day? Any one test the battery, 1949deal?

As many know I owned a Doogee and had some bad luck with it but I would actually give them a second chance if this phone turns out to be legit. I don’t mind the low specs as I don’t need a powerful phone but let’s hope they are using a really good 8mp sensor/optics. The build quality from this brand is incredible I will give them that.

Totally skeptical about the battery, and the phone is ever so conveinently sealed so we will never know the truth as the people who usually buy these phones don’t want to risk wasting their hard earned money to take it apart and check and those with money to burn usually don’t burn their money on cheap stuff like this.

I don’t think the battery will be real 6000. I own a Mi Note, and can’t imagine how a battery that big could fit inside.

But what about support? Doogee put out a 5.0 update for my Voyager 2 but the ‘how to’ is not for the faint of heart and the so-called manual they provided is not readable. I’ve only done this once before and at least Ulefone provided step-by-step instructions that worked. Not Doogee. They promised an upgrade but you’re basically on your own and if you brick the phone then you’re totally out of luck.
I wouldn’t buy anything else from Doogee until they get their customer service a little more oriented to the customer.

    Right after they announced the upgrade, Doogee had a video on their support page but I could not play it. Then they removed it. There was another video on their facebook page but it was put there by one of their followers and not by Doogee. Would probably work so maybe I should try to find it and see what it entails. My problem is I really don’t want to do this because I’m afraid I’ll brick the phone and I need the phone as a backup.
