Antutu screenshots confirm killer specs for the iOcean Z1

iocean z1

Antutu screenshots and a first live photo show the iOcean Z1 and what it will have to offer once it goes on sale later this month.

Antutu as a benchmarking tool might slowly be going out of fashion but as a means to prove specifications of an upcoming device it can still be quite effective. To confirm the flagship specs of their upcoming killer phone, iOcean have posted screenshots from Antutu on Facebook showing the super high screen resolution and powerful Mediatek chipset.

From Antutu we can see the resolution is showing as 1440 x 2560, or more commonly referred to as 2K. If iOcean are fast they could have one of the few Mediatek powered 2K phones on the market and resolution to rival that of top of the range LeTV, Nubia and Meizu devices.

The screenshots also confirm that the phone will use an octacore Mediatek MT6795 chipset running a 1.9Ghz and will get Android 5.1 too. For those of you who cannot read Chinese the specs go on to confirm an 8 mega-pixel front camera and a 21 mega-pixel rear.

These details along with the stylish design of the iOcean Z1 really catapult the phone in to a new league. What do you think of the latest iOcean and current iOcean phones? is iOceans slow and steady method of launch going to win over Elephone’s shock and awe efforts?

most likely, no way it’s a $350, hell this is the current price of the aging 1+1!

As many new phones hyping with specs on the start in the end they are all with some shitty specs of battery life, price or production delay. First you say “Woooow, take my money” but in the end “Why you done that 720p screen, such a waste battery, old SOC, no microsd”

    • mf1gt3r
      June 11, 2015

Ummm. With fast charging that is no longer a problem. And if battery life is really a problem there are lots of phones breaking the 4000mah barrier out there. I personally won’t enjoy viewing things in any screen lower that 1080p. Been on 1080p for 3 years now.

so you support the 2k revolution ?

only downside is the screen size, why bother with a 2k screen at 5.5″??

    • csak1user
      June 11, 2015

If the dpi is right, this is a 4.6″ screen. lol
Edit: This is android setting, not physical dpi, so 5.5 is ok.
But the resolution still too much for me.

No doubt, only makes the price of the phone higher. I really don’t need a 2k phone. The average customer who is using a shitty laptop with 768p resolution as their primary machine also don’t need it.

    I’m for this strategy.
Few quality releases, it will pay in long term.
I mean, look at the Jiayu S3, it’s still one of the most demanded phones despite it has been released a while ago and meanwhile a ton of other phones have been released.

Elephone strategy pays for a couple of months and that’s it.Presale and then nothing.

They might live on high numbers, but sooner or later people will link their name to rubbish quality and stop buying from them

You speak from my heart. If I had to choose between Jiayu and Elephone, I would take Jiayu without thinking.

While the Elephone strategy brings an ironic smile on my face I wouldn’t call them for a bad quality on their phones!

      • MaxPower
        June 11, 2015

I’ve never owned any of their phones so I was speaking according to reviews and general disappointment of owners.

My sample might not have a statistic value and in fact I didn’t come out with numbers or percentages that comes from nowhere.

I’m sure that there are lot of people like you that have a different opinion.

That said, I’m concerned about the quality of support they might provide after have released so many phones.
        I guess time well tell

Yeah, I’ve saw a time ago in the Ulefone Pages, they are probably making a promo for a new upcoming device at facebook, I don’t know if was for the Be Touch 2 or even another one. So in the comments of that post, a guy commented “Stop launching phones and gives us updates.” So the guy from Ulefone answered “Updates don’t make us money, but phones do, how you expect us to live?.”

That’s explain everything, for some company it’s more for earn how much they can while they still alive than grow up.

    • June 12, 2015

Has to be said that elephone are supporting their phones rather well, they have devs working on cm12.1 as well as vibe Ui, they are probably releasing phones a bit quicker than they should but times are changing so quickly in this market place.
I guess the upside is that we the consumers see prices being driven down, whilst at the same time specs are driven up!
