Bluboo have revealed that they will launch 2 versions of their new Bluboo X500 with the flagship ‘Pro’ gaining a Sony IMX220 main camera.
We have heard some incredible details about the Bluboo X500 such as the claimed 4GB RAM and use of the powerful Mediatek Helio X10 processor, now there is more. Today it has been revealed that two model options of the Bluboo X500 will be launched. A basic model with Sony IMX214 13 mega-pixel camera and a Bluboo X500 Pro with Sony IMX220 20.7 mega-pixel rear shooter.
From camera specs alone both phones have pretty good sensors. The IMX214 is one of the most used 13 mega-pixel sensors and found in the LeTV Le 1 and Xiaomi Mi Note, while the IMX220 is used in the Meizu MX4 and MX4 Pro. It’s impressive to the OIS is going to be part of the package too!
Now that we know there are two models we can expect the Pro to be the version with Helio X10 and 4GB RAM, we will have to wait and see what specifications the standard Bluboo X500 will have to offer.

Waiting patiently for most of these beastly devices to launch, and for Andi and the crew to review them thereby simplifying my decision as to which to purchase since there will be a herd of similarly specced devices out there by year end.
Release date and price ?
First shop preselling them at a little over 200 US$: DealsMachine. Claimed availability date: July 31st. Has anyone of you had any (recent) experience with this shop?
I find it hard to believe, as they listed it as an entry model, but with the specs of the Pro version.
If this is true, then we really have a killer here, but let’s just hold on our horses here, for a moment.
No estimation on the price Andy? And is it possible to do a review of the Lenovo Vibe Shot with the 16mp cam? I heard its quit good from random unboxing and hands on videos on youtube, but i really would like to hear it from a more experienced/reliable reviewer on gizchina.
I spent about 15 minutes with it at one of Lenovo’s sales office here in Bangkok (good friend works there). The camera is excellent, the build quality is excellent, it feels good in the hand and the old school digital camera design is very sexy. Can’t wait to see some reviews to see if my initial first impressions hold up for others.
Killer cam phone are big words, dont expect it to beat a Gionee E8. But it should be a decent above average cam with great build kwali and a nice design. Also the cam comes with a option where you can go pro mode and adjust about everything manually in the cam settings.
nice!
but is it possible that…
plot twist : Vibe shot photos in normal mode >>> E8 photos in 100 mp mode !
(that’d be EPIC)
hahaha i doubt that, specially when you promote your phone with 100mp mode $645 phone with super cam etc, en then gets beat by a 16mp shooter. And Gionee’s track record is pretty good when it comes to the camera’s
hmm…
well , i hope Gionee comes here , kicks Qmobile outta my country butt-wise and start OFFICIALLY selling products here. i’d be their no.1 fan if they manage to create something epic camera-wise for people with tight budgets ! 😀
In reality the E8 is only a 24 mp camera, the rest is all software. But even so getting beat by a 16mp camera isn’t out of the realm of possibility. MP mean very little when talking about overall camera quality. One of the best cameraphones on the market today is the Iphone, which has been using an 8mp sensor for the longest time. They figured out that MP didn’t equal better pictures, so instead they spent their budget developing great software and great optics.
true… those people completely realized the TRUE potential of H/W S/W interaction !
The E8 still has a lot we don’t know about. All we know is the sensor which isn’t enough to say how good it will be, it’s a start but we still need to know a lot more. The Vibe Shot was designed to be a camera first and a smartphone second. Everything from the optics to software is top notch on it, and it could very well be the best camera phone this year.
it looks to hold up pretty good in this short comparison with the Nubia z9 mini en Gionee S7.

Battery to support all these specs ?
On paper that sounds like a great setup. But I have serious doubts about the validity of those specs. Just doesn’t sound like a Bluboo at all.
its worth a shot to take these with a pinch of salt… ya never kno 😀
it really surprises me as well, maybe there is some bigger brand behind them.
I think they are one of the brands like Doogee that is owned by one of the OEMs.
