Oukitel have released their own Apple Watch alternative and recorded a short video showing the two wearables side by side.
The Oukitel watch, aka the Oukitel A28, is a wearable based on the design of the Apple Watch. Side by side there are difference though with the more affordable Oukitel having a larger display and lacking the rotating menu button found on the Apple model.
Oukitel have shot the following short video to compare the accuracy of the heat rate monitor of the Apple Watch and Oukitel A28 side by side. The video also gives us opportunity to see the two side by side.
A few things struck me about the video. Firstly it was the accuracy of the heart monitor which records a similar bpm as the Apple Watch although does not update as quickly. The second surprise being that someone named Joe actually wrote a ‘script’ for the video (don’t give up your day job Joe).
Specifications for the Oukitel A28 include a 1.54-inch 240 x 240 touch display, Mediatek MT2502A processor, and 250mAh battery good for 100hours of standby. The watch offers supports for popular Android and iOS apps such as Runtastic where you can monitor heart rate and number of steps.
The machined alloy body comes in either gold or silver and it seems that there are a number of optional leather straps for the wearable. We’ll have more wearable news soon, keep posted.
I don’t mind the Mediatek MT2502A so much but can you make and install apps for it ? If not it’s not a smart watch just as phones without the ability to install app were not smart phones.
inWatch T running TencentOS launched today in China with circular 1.4 inch AMOLED 400×400 at 799CNY and up.
