Rumors of a partnership between Google and the Huawei working on the next Nexus together have been ‘confirmed’ by an insider.
It finally, seems to be confirmed by an insider at Huawei, that the Chinese phone giant will produce Google Nexus smatphone. Not only that, the same insider stated that the phone will be available towards the end of this year. Since Google updates the Nexus in the months of October-November the timing seems about right.
The partnership could bring only great results for Huawei given the potential and value to the name that a partnership with the giant Google can bring. Especially in the US market where Huawei struggles.
It’s to early to say about the specs of the Huawei Nexus, but we can speculate based on rumors in the last weeks that pointed at a 5.7-inch 2k panel for the device, Snapdragon 810 is also expected packed aside with 3or 4GB of Ram.
For now it’s everything, any news we will inform. But feel free to leave your opinion about the next Huawei Nexus device.
If the leaks are confirmed then I can see a huge fail
This could be huge for the Chinese market as a whole and for Nexus fans. For the Chinese market this will bring a premium phone to US shores and show people that Chinese phones aren’t the cheap knockoffs everyone seems to think.
For Nexus fans Huawei has some of the best looking phones in the market today and they have amazing build quality.
Why is does this affect the Chinese market at all? You can’t really use a Nexus device properly in China because all Google services are blocked. Nexus devices aren’t that great without the Google services.
I see that it’s good for Huawei and it could add credibility for Chinese manufactures as a whole, but I doubt you could even buy it in the mainland. You’d need to make a field trip to HK to get one!
I meant more this is good overall for the Chinese phone industry, market was a poor choice of words. As in for many customers in the west this will be their first real Chinese phone and they will realize it is no different from their LG or Samsung Nexus devices. This can help to change the perception in the US of Chinese phones being cheap knockoffs. You would be surprised how many tech bloggers still have the conception and how some of them will say some of the most moronic things that are 100% false.
