Oukitel, recently in the headlines for their new smartwatch, are back with details concerning their flagship smartphone the Oukitel U9.
This year has seen a huge jump in the design and build quality of materials used on Chinese phones. Established phone makers are making big changes, but even newer brands are managing to keep up and hold their own.
Oukitel’s flagship phone officially known as the Kindo Thranduil, or the Oukitel U9 to you and I is a great example of the use of high quality materials. The phone is rumoured to go on sale later in the year for around $200 yet it uses an alloy chassis and 5.5-inch 2.5D display. In fact 2.5D glass will be used both front and rear meaning a nice rounded phone with the screen smoothly transferring to the rounded alloy chassis.
The screen is a 5.5-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 model from JDI and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to keep your mind at ease, so we are expecting good quality visuals and longevity from the panel.
Other details of the phone include 3GB RAM, a Mediatek processor, 3100mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop. We’ll have more details of the U9 soon.
