The UMi Iron has grabbed a fair share of attention these past few weeks through teasers of the new device. Finally all the details were announced today on Facebook, and UMi are celebrating the launch by letting fans buy the phone for just $17.99!

UMi have given us 7 special coupon codes in total, and we are starting the giveaway with 2 coupons today (winners announced in a few days).

    I live in the Philippines which is just south of Hong Kong, I received a China Post package yesterday which was sent June 7, while 2 packages sent via Sweden Post around May 22 is loitering somewhere, tracking says they’re in the destination country but I’m still waiting. Sweden Post probably would be faster if the destination is Europe.

I jut joined the group but to be honest I don’t really think its fair to give the most active persons on the group, some of us do work and have a life while “others” don’t work or have a life and basically sit in front of their screen trolling the web. Just my opinion though.

  I agree… I’m getting spammed to death by Facebook concerning the same people who keep posting new topics in the group… This is not what a Facebook group is about… Especially annoying are those posts with “I think I’m going to buy the UMi Iron, the specs are so great…” I’ve seen those to often since yesterday… cmon…

That “most active fans” stuff is pretty controversial.
At this point it’s more “profitable” to run a bot to spam activity than anything else, and people with real life stuff to do will have to resort to that or they’ll be excluded for sure.
OnePlus tried to do some contests like that, and it backfired hard, with reason.
Please reconsider.

Define most active? I ran a full marathon today. Surely that makes me pretty damn active. All you’re doing is encouraging people to post crap, the number one reason why I won’t join that group. Good prize but badly executed comp.
