The much anticipated OnePlus 2 will be unveiled on Monday the 27th July in a virtual reality launch allowing fans from around the world get up close and personal with the new phone and team.
OnePlus like to do things differently and a VR launch is about as different as you can get for an upcoming flagship phone release. On 27th July OnePlus fans will be able to use their Google Cardboard viewers to watch the launch of the new phone and get up close and personal.
OnePlus will also be sending out their own OnePlus branded Google Cardboard viewers to watch the event. We’re not sure who will get them and how many are on offer but we are sure to learn this in the coming days:
A VR launch lets you stand right next to our team and our fans as we unveil our new flagship. You’ll be able to look around as you check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs. It’s a new way of thinking about a product launch. We aren’t talking at you; we are talking with you.
So far we know the OnePlus 2 will feature a USB Type C data/charge plug plus a Snapdragon 810 chipset running at 1.8Ghz.
Are you excited to see what the OnePlus 2 will offer? Keep posted for more OP2 news.
Somehow, I don’t excited about OnePlus 2.
Shocking a weird PR stunt from OPO….
About +1 it was exciting, +2 it is not.
