Xiaomi sold 34.7 million phones in H1 2015 with a 33% YoY jump

Xiaomi’s making inroads into markets new, which is pretty apparent from the exploding popularity of the company. It isn’t a surprise that the company has some impressive numbers to show for that.

Xiaomi revealed earlier today that the company had sold a total of 34.7 million phones in the first half of 2015. They also note that this translates to a 33% increase year-on-year. A major contributor to the number has been the commercial success that Xiaomi has seen in India, which is almost its second home now.

The Chinese market has slowed down in the recent months as it tends to saturation, and Xiaomi concedes that. “Even with the China smartphone market slowing down, we did a stellar job of posting a 33% growth on last year’s numbers. It can be said that we outperformed the market and produced an excellent report card,” said Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi is now on the verge of announcing the next-gen Redmi Note, along with the Mi series flagship i.e., the Mi 5. Keep posted for more Xiaomi news!
