Voyo has been around for a while dishing out decent tablets, and with the dual boot thing getting a lot of traction in the Chinese market, the company has decided to join in on the fun.
The Voyo WinPad A1 Mini (the name is longer than the size of the tablet, some would feel) comes with an 8 inch screen featuring a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Like most entry-level tablets and mini PCs from China, this one too runs on the Intel Atom Z3735 processor.
The WinPad A1 Mini runs Android 4.4 KitKat besides Windows 8.1… I’m assuming it’ll be Windows 8.1 with Bing if it has to be legit. More so because the device is priced US$120.
Other specifications of the WinPad A1 Mini include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, 2 mega-pixel rear camera, VGA front facing camera and a 4200mAh battery. You can, as you would expect, connect the tablet to an external keyboard which sells separate.
The design of the WinPad A1 Mini reminds me of the Mi Pad a little… not sure if its intended to be that way. What do you think?
The WinPad A1 can be bought from GearBest for US$120.
What do I think? Well, I’m suprised that the specs are more or less the same as Chuwi Vi8 and the latter is cheaper. Plus it’s out there for few months. One would expect an improvement (maybe 3 or 4 GB RAM). There needs to be a review to do a real comparison to see if maybe there’s a difference on build quality or performance.
