The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 is a tablet from Asus with high-end specifications, a great design and a low price which made it quite popular around the world, especially in the US where people have been anticipating this device ever since the launch of the fantastic Zenfone 2. Now, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 is finally there, but it may disappoint some people that this variant of the ZenPad is actually a slightly downgraded version of the original ZenPad S 8.0, though not by much.
Gizchina News of the week
The original ZenPad S 8.0 had an extremely fast Intel Atom Z3580 64-bit processor, along with 4GB of RAM to run everything smoothly. The US variant however receives a slower Atom Z3560 quad-core chipset that is clocked at 1.83GHz, while the amount of RAM has been cut from 4GB to 2GB. Aside from that, everything else is pretty much the same, from the important 8-inch 2048 x 1536 IPS display to the 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The Z Stylus is also still here to those of you who were looking forward to it.
Despite the lower specs, the ZenPad S 8.0 still looks like an incredible deal for only $200, so there’s really not too much to complain about here. What do you think about this development? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section down below!
