There’s hardly any phones coming with the MT6752 anymore. The chipset that first impressed us with the JiaYu S3 seems to have been replaced by the down-clocked MT6753 for some reason.
Another phone which will have the MT6753 is the Acer S59. We’re pretty certain about that, because the phone just appeared on the GFXbench database, confirming the CPU and some other details.
According to the listing, the Acer S59 will come with dual 13 mega-pixel cameras. So if not anything else, it is clear that the S59 is going to be one for selfie aficionados. Other specs as revealed by the listing include: 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 5-inch 1280 x 720p display.
Acer S59 leaked specifications:
- 5-inch screen
- 1280 x 720p resolution
- 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 CPU
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB ROM
- 13 mega-pixel front and rear cameras
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
Also, the listing mentions there’ll only by one SIM slot… which sounds a little hard to believe for now. Nonetheless, we’ll get to know the entire story when Acer announce the S59 officially, which by the looks of it won’t be too far away from now!
no gyroscope? are you friggin kidding me? that is becoming a bad habit…
also it says 12mpx cameras, not 13mpx.
It says 4160 x 3120 which is 12.98mp = 13mp so they are indeed correct in saying it has 13mp cameras. GFX often give incorrect readings in so have to take any listed specs with a pinch of salt.
good saying 🙂
Not only that but the sensors themselves are never exactly 8 or 13 they are usually rounded up or down. For instance the following Sony sensors real and (advertised) MP count:
IMX 134 – 8.08 (8)
IMX 135 – 13.42 (13)
IMX 214 – 13.51 (13)
IMX 220 – 20.7 (20, sometimes it is listed as 20.7 or 21).
With benchmarks they can be wildly inaccurate. I have seen the 134 for instance listed as anything from 6-10 mp on various benchmarks.
still. no gyroscope. isn’t it embedded in the cpu already? why not support it then?
Take my $100.
chep ?
I’m curious what will be the price because looks like Elephone P8000 is pretty similar device but have actually better specs.
