Selling devices at near-cost with not a lot of profit from other media means OnePlus has to get rid of dead stock as soon as possible. Now that the second generation phone from OnePlus is due, that becomes all the more important.
In India, the OnePlus One will be sold in unboxed and refurbished avatars for a reduced price of 12,999 INR or US$205. The phone will be sold via Overkart.com, and guess what, people who want to buy unboxed/refurbished units of the OnePlus One will have to register prior to the sale.
On the other hand, hype for the OnePlus 2 is on the rise as the company keeps dropping hints about the device every now and then. Thus far, it is known that the phone will have a 3300mAh battery, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 810 processor, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, and more.
