Xiaomi’s ‘mid-range flagship’ aka the Mi 4i can now be procured without the hassle of a flash sale (in you’re in India).

The phone was announced earlier this year with decent hardware and a lovely build quality. At 12,999 INR (US$205), the phone was bound to attract the attention that it did. However, getting hands on one remained to be a problem for buyers… but not anymore.

Gizchina News of the week

The Mi 4i is now available free from the flash sale model. The device can be bought off of not just Flipkart but also other channels including Amazon, Snapdeal, The Mobile Store and Airtel, the last two of which happen to be offline stores.

The pricing is the same at 12,999 INR, its only the sale model that has changed. For more information about the Xiaomi Mi 4i, take a look at our review of the device.

If you can it for retail it is an excellent phone for the money. Once you get passed the $230 mark though there are better options for not that much more.

Hi Balco, it seems that Xiaomi will release a new edition of the Mi4i with Snapdragon 808 Soc and probably 32GB ROM. The phone will remain the same but with better specs. I really hope that it will be available shortly with less heating problems comparing the 615 Soc.

I don’t buy into the rumors. If anything I think its going to be Mi5i and wont be released till late October/November. Also I highly doubt it will have 32GB of RAM. Would be nice but 16 is the norm, especially for budget/mid range phones. Every week there are dozens of “leaks” pertaining to Xiaomi, about 1% of them are correct.
