TENAA is the first stop for any new Chinese Android phone before it can go on sale, and what should show up today but none other than a new Huawei Honor phone.
The Honor sub brand has been doing amazingly well for the Chinese giant. With phones from the popular 3 range last year and the newer Honor 6+ and 7 there is something for everyone and they usually launch outside of China too.
For those of you shopping for a budget phone, a new Huawei Honor 4A model has appeared at TENAA today with a 5-inch display, LTE, and 2200mAh battery. The dual SIM phone measures 143.5 x 72.1 x 8.5mm.
The design of the phone is rather like the iOcean X9 or a last gen iPhone with a power button and volume rocker on the right hand side of the body. Other details include 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, HD display and if you are wondering what chip is running in the phone its a Snapdragon 210 quad-core.
Pricing shouldn’t be high and we expect Huawei to be competing with the Redmi series with this latest phone.
This is a device that shouldn’t exist.
That SoC is quad A7 at 1.1GHz and has no place paired with 2GB RAM and 720p screen today. In 50$ devices , fine but what they do here is make the specs look ok and take it’s heart out to save a little. The Redmi 2A is underpowered but at least that one is at A7 at 1.5Ghz, Huawei uses a superbudget SoC in midrange. To be fair HTC is doing it too.
And BTW you guys missed the Lenovo A8 Play (A3860) and Coolpad Note 3 launches.today
Nice budget device .
