The resurrected Doogee has been up to some impressive stuff lately. The Doogee Y100 Pro (that we’re currently testing) along with some other impressive devices have made mid-2015 quite a good year for Doogee.
The Doogee F3 is one such phone on which Doogee is betting big. It’s supposed to come with the MT6753 processor (along with a more powerful limited edition version), and will also have custom engraved wooden rear covers if things go as per plan.
Doogee today sent over info about 5 features of the Doogee F3 which make the phone a real flagship. Here’s:
Gizchina News of the week
- Samsung 3M2 CMOS sensor: Most flagships feature the IMX214 13 mega-pixel sensor, but the F3 will have an ISOCELL 3M2 CMOS sensor from Samsung with PDAF for super fast focusing.
- Wooden and Bamboo covers.
- LG displays: 5-inch 720p on the F3, 5-inch 1080p on the F3 Pro
- Penta-faceted crystal edges: Like we’ve mentioned in the past, the Doogee F3 reminds us of the Galaxy S6. And, the F3 will come complete with penta-faceted edges cut using CNC machines.
- Voice control: The Doogee F3 will have support for voice unlock, music control and more custom voice gestures.
We’re quite liking the revamped Doogee. The F3 does hold a lot of promise, and with less than a month to go for its launch we can’t wait to see how the phone turns out.
The Flagship of Flagship featuring a cutting edge groundbreaking display with a 720p resolution and a MT6753. If anything it could be the Flagship of Budgets.
Personally I would love to succeed Doogee succeed it is good for the industry. The above phone looks a bit like an S6 but that isn’t a bad thing. The one thing Doogee needs to work on or none of this matters though is there customer service, or lack there of. The greatest specs in the world won’t mean a thing if you have zero customer service.
No, the other one. Pro version will have 1080p display.
Even that is not great for flagships, its average these days. Personally I prefer a 720p display because it looks good and doesnt use lots of battery but its not where close to being a flagship display in 2015.

as fas as you know, zopo has better customer service? because i’m between this pro version and the new speed 7…thanks
Yes because they actually have customer service, Doogee has none.
Agree Doogee service is basically non existent, so I have bought 4 Doogee phones from other suppliers. I’m waiting for the F3 Pro to be delivered from a supplier where I purchased on Pre-Sale. Looking forward to receiving it the other phones 3 Voyager2 and 1 DG350 are still working well for me.

Ok, this finally looks interesting, especially F3 Pro if it has a little better SoC like 6752, but I can live with 6753 too if the price is adequate. Although I don’t like Doogee for their low quality in the past, if they changed for good, I may give ’em a chance. Just remember sensor is not the only important thing. It needs to be paired with good lens and software in order to unleash the potential of the sensor.

I am looking for a 5 inch phone next, and despite being more than happy with the 720p screens on my current phones, an fhd screen with a wooden back cover would be enough novelty value for me to get this.

there is an option with 720p/2gb ram available đ
Next phone has to be 5 inch FHD screen, 3gb, some form of ID recognition, slim with advanced battery tech, and a decent processor. Or I may get oukitel u10!
5.5″ doesn’t cut it unfortunately, at least for me đ

I expect some catch in here.
Guys in different forums have already discovered, that Doogee Valencia2 Pro Y100 has a battery stating 2200mAh on the battery sticker, and 1800 mAh underneath that. CPU being 1.0MHz instead of 1.3MHz is another thing.
Would be nice if they avoid failures lke that.
Sadly that has been the story of Doogee, lying about specs.
They are simply Doodging.

3m2 Samsung camera? Same as alife s1? Not better than the Sony from Mi3
It’s really tough to judge a sensor vs another sensor unless are both are using the same hardware and software. Other phones that have used the ISOCELL sensor have taken very good pictures. The problem with a lot of these smaller companies is they use a good sensor but they mix it with poor optics and software. You can put the Sony IMX 135 found in the Mi3 in some of these cameras and the pictures still won’t look good. The sensor is only one part of the equation.
Does the camera have OIS? And does the device support quick charging? There are mixed posts along the Internet.
Which device in question?

Anything below real (!!!) 3000 mAh on a Flagship, even a budget Flagship, is useless. No matter what else is on the paper.
good doggie!

Hi, I am thinking about pre-ordering the Doogee F3 Pro. But I do have/some doubts about the real specs of this looking at some comments here. Also I do not know what the actual retail price would be.
I am interested in all your thoughts about this

Will this have on screen buttons as well as the physical bottom ones?

I see what you are all saying, but my question is, is it worth it for 160$ or are there are better oprions, my criteria are 5″, 4G, 2-3 RAM + 16 ROM, FHD
There are no better options at 160$

Received my F3 Pro 3 days ago (Australia), can’t comment too much yet but it does seem very quick. Definitely has 3G RAM, screen is clearer and brighter than my Huawei P7. Build quality has impressed me although the first night it wouldn’t turn on or charge. Left it overnight and was able to get it back on charge; no problems since then. Some gripes, can not find a way to set the volume of notifications independently of the ring volume and no LED notification of missed calls/messages and notifications or when it is charging. Came in the box with a clear (slightly opaque) case and one screen protector on and another in the box. No ear buds though.
What about battery life?
Battery is great on standby. The full HD screen really drains the battery though. After a day of moderate use i have 30-40% of battery left. Heavy use would prob need a charge during the day though.

I just
received the Doogee F3 pro. Itâs a nice phone, unfortunately, I will have to
attempt to root it, or itâs going to be my wireless speaker remote.
It has installed, and approved on your behalf the permissions for
all sorts of apps, and most of these apps are locked without the option to
remove or disableâŚ
âTorchâ has access and collects contacts, location, full sd card access, and
many others. It has 1 functionalityâŚflash lightâŚwhy does it need my contacts,
And i canât remove it!
The app âLocationEM2â collects GPS info. Why is it installed? and
again, i canât remove it? Who is taking that log.
The App âHotKnot â has every possible permission granted to it?
The App âDX senderâ can be disabled, but the permissions that it
needs is ridiculous.
The app âBeauty makeupâ one remarkâŚ.really? If i want it, i would
download it. Can be disabled.
The app âcommon data serviceâ âŚall kinds of permissions granted.
and canât be removed. Doesnât even have an author?
Some of the above apps may be legit, but seeing Torsh there raised
a red flag (It was on the news: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2808007/Free-apps-used-spy-millions-phones-Flashlight-program-used-secretly-record-location-phone-content-text-messages.html
).
I didnât get to try the hardware, but I did give it to my sister when I got it
without checking it, and she gave it back to me the next day saying the screen
sensitivity was glitchy.
