Chinese OEMs seem to be taken by a sudden wave and are almost shipping every ‘flagship’ with the MT6753.
The very impressive Elephone P6000 that first launched with the MT6732 is now replaced by the Elephone P6000 Pro, which comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants. Interestingly, the CPU has now been swapped for the MT6753.
The P8000 on the other hand, was always scheduled to come with the MT6753. As we reported, Elephone seem to be readying stocks. Meanwhile, resellers are already accepting orders for both devices.
Gizchina News of the week
The 2GB RAM edition of the P6000 Pro is on sale for US$119.99, whereas the higher-end 3GB version is selling for an extra US$20 i.e., US$139.99. The P8000 features a bigger screen and has other specs improvements over the P6000 Pro (including a fingerprint sensor), and is on sale for US$169.99.
All the three phones ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop, and the deals can be availed via Everbuying.net. More details over on the Elephone website.
Is P8000 camera good?
samsung s4 camera , s5k3l2 sensor
Looks good in the specs, but till there is no reliable test, nobody knows for sure. P6000 was meant to be good too, yet lots of people complain. It looks like they’re of uneven quality. Some examples have ok cameras, while others suck.
I guess the hype for amazing price performance phones should be over be now.
What a shame this new trend of MT6753 devices.
too bad they are using MT6753, they give us less performance and ask for same price.
maybe MediaTek show bring us better gpu and cpu clocked to 1.7 at least, i know i know you say MT6752, but i almost dont see phones with MT6752, so maybe there was a problem with them.
They were too good, you discontinue to sell products when they are too good that will cause you to lose sales in the future.
Who the hell would want a Helio x10 x20 if there were cheap as fuck MT6752 devices with nearly the same performance.
as bilbao said whilst the chip does indeed offer lower speeds and a reduced gpu it benefits from much better network coverage worldwide.
for phone makers this allows them to produce a single world mode phone rather than leaving us all waiting for an international version of a phone that the Chinese get to enjoy before us.
and to be honest the speed difference is negligible in real world use, I would say that a well optimised rom running on the P8000 (with the release of kernal sources we should hopefully see a lot of devs tweaking and improving on features) will likely out perform a rom running on the MT6752 soc.
My gf own the p6000 and It’s really nice, it’s anyway n upgrade to go from mt6732 to mt6753 and it allow to get more frequencies 🙂 P6000 pro an P8000 looks promising 🙂
I guess the problem with mtk6752 is .., it performs almost equal to its highend soc-6795 (helio x10) at a much cheaper rate. So mediatek planned a downgraded soc for the midrange mobiles saying some shitty reasons…! With lower clock speed and downgraded gpu(mali 720) and now they are promoting it by giving it to all chinese companies by giving it at discounted prices..They are clever..
The Helio x10 has a different graphics core, and also have improved camera features.

I bought this one
Does anybody know where the mi Band is they posted on21 that it will happen tommorow and today nothing happpend i am waiting.
Gotta love the Chinese marketing schemes… Add a digit to the SoC model # and cut costs but offering downgraded specs than the previous gen device. No wonder why most tech savy folks in Europe and NA won’t buy a phone with a MediaTek chip!
Just got the P8000… £109.99 for a 5.5″ with 3GB Ram, big battery and decent camera phone is a bargain either way you look at it… (Even if the black border around the screen is horrible!)
It’ll be a good backup phone at least I’m sure…
You got it, or you bot it – in the second case, how can you be sure it has a decent cmaera? Decent on paper?
Sorry, should have been more specific… I just purchased it after seeing this post…
And ye, decent on paper I guess… I feel very much that £109 is ok to take a risk with… Better than when I took a risk for £215 for a Zopo ZP999 that turned out to be a massive pile of sh1te!
im disgusted, and very angry… i buy on presell 9x Elephoen P8000 (from first day of presell, 1 month back? or more…) and resellers not send me… im waiting… and now i see tha offer of elephone p8000 for same price than i buy from 1 months or 1,5months back… never i buy again elephone phones on presell, fuck u elephone!!!
I don’t get why your angry? the phones were still on pre-sale until today and cost the same as they did when you purchased them on pre-sale… the P8000’s look like they will be sent out starting today http://www.gadgetz.tv/2015/07/23/elephone-p8000-shipping-and-kernal-release-date-confirmed/
(probably to retailers and pre-orders) so you are getting the phone you want at the price you wanted to pay and you are upset? were you hoping that the prices would spike up today?
Keep calm and enjoy what should hopefully be a great phone, the fact that they are also releasing kernel sources for the phone, should mean that we start to see some really great rom developments.

Is it good? Can you tell us the GPU frequency on Elephone P6000 Pro? Some sites say it is 700 MHz, but on Meizu M2 Note their Mali-720 MP3 only clocked at 450 MHz. Please confirm
