With only a few days left before the launch of the OnePlus 2 there are surely a few people out there who have decided if they will go for the next gen flagship killer. Are you going to be one of the next OP owners?
The OnePlus 2 will launch very soon, and although not officially announced there are a few details we already know about the phone, and from those details it is possible to decide if the OP2 will be your next phone or not (or maybe).
What we know for certain is the OnePlus 2 will be smaller than the current OPO, have a larger battery, we also know there will be a fingerprint scanner and that the processor is a Snapdragon 810 “hotplate” running at 1.8Ghz with 4GB RAM. It also looks as though the 13 mega-pixel main camera will have Phase Detection Auto Focus, and the phone will use the latest USB standard, USB Type C.
We might even know what the OnePlus 2 looks like if the most recent Tenaa leak is actually the real deal (I’m still not sure and feel OnePlus could be just trolling us with the ugly phone).
With those details at hand and with knowledge of what the OnePlus 2 might look like we are asking are you likely to be buying one? Answer below in the poll;

Lets wait and see it hands-on, these Tenna designs are not very clear, I would like to buy it, but will have to see how revised SD810 will avoid overheating!
810/808 hell no
No microSSD hell no
Higher price hell no
Home button and/or fingerprint, better without but not an absolute deal breaker.
Remains to be seen how many of those reasons will stand after launch, they could have microSD this time around and pricing could be flat.
I agree with everything you said except the home button. Personally I like them on phones, especially phones with a fingerprint scanner.
There are 3 issues here:
1. Home buttons force a sizable lower bezel.
2. Biometrics make online more secure (best case scenario) and offline a lot less secure. Hard to put it in just a few words but lets try. It’s easy to steal fingerprints even more so now when ultrasound sensors can be hidden in every day objects for targeted or mass harvesting. You can also just use cams to harvest and fool current sensors. In the offline world it’s easier to force someone to give up the password- the aggressor could be a criminal or an abusive gov agency. Once compromised you can’t change your password (fingerprint). It makes it easier for folks like the NSA (or Putin or N Korea) to accurately track ppl. We’ll get better sensors , tools to steal/harvest the “password” and fool readers will get better too and in the end it ends when all our body parts readings have been compromised and humanity has to give up on the technology, But in the mean time we make it easier for criminals and abusive govs to do their thing.
3.We all use our phone in both one hand mode and 2 hand mode. In each mode we hold the phone slightly different. The devices got too big for buttons at the bottom of the screen (bellow it being much worse) in 1 handed mode. We should move on and address that issue with hardware and software solution.
Edit: I imagine that for women with long fingernails a front fingerprint sensor is uncomfortable while on the back it’s a lot easier but i’m a dude so no long nails to test that.
The first and last one is personal preference. Everyone holds their phones differently and has different views on how bezels should or shouldn’t look. The second one is some tin foil hat stuff straight out of the movies.
no and no.
Everybody holds the phone the same way you just don’t understand what i was saying. Bezel size is a mater of ergonomics, size of the device vs usable area, all that is not display is bulk.
The second one is exactly what is going on ,it’s early but everybody needs to do it’s job, including the bad guys.
i completely agree. Home button is doomed to disappear with the biometrics sensor. Thats a good thing really.Maybe a backbutton like on the LG would still be practical for pictures/unlocking. A fully bezelless phone is not possible today as we still need min 0,5cm for sensors and frontcamera, but improvement should be made a lot faster. After Mate 7, nothing much happened. And it was almost 1 year ago.
