Video: Elephone shows off ELE UI

elephone ele ui

Elephone have created this short video to show off a few of the new features of their new ELE UI.

ELE UI is Elephone’s own take of Android. The theme has elements of ColorOS and Flyme, with a neat flat look making it appear modern and lightweight.

This first version of ELE UI has a few neat features including a live weather widget, option to have app icons the size you prefer (handled via a simple slider), multi-language support and easy folder to folder navigation.

Elephone will also be offering a number of online themes to change the look of ELE UI to how you want, and will even release the source code so more developers to get to grips with the Elephone ecosystem. Take a look at ELE UI in the intro video below:

Looks like a rip off of Flyme. I’m usually wary of these smaller companies trying to make their own UI’s. I would much prefer if they spent more time fixing the problems on their phones first and then focus on software.

They first open the source code of P8000, then design their own UI. It’s make a difference against other Chinese smartphone company. Just for this point, it’s good, I will buy one P8000 if it’s available.

All that doesn’t make a difference if the hardware is full of problems like all their past phones.

I find it verry funny how Chinese phone companies use English. 😀 Ok, I understand that it’s not their native, it’s neither mine, I am from one of the South Slavic countries, but everyone can learn it if they try.

If they just used a spell check it would be enough :p

Can’t we just have stock and get a theme or launcher from the play store if it really bothers us?

I think it really looks nice 🙂 Can’t wait to try this on my P7000, + that I really like this brand and they bring a lot of rom, Ele’s own rom should be great and optimised !

Not a bad UI, but they could shift their focus more to build quality.
