Bluboo update the X550 5300mAh phone with 13 mega-pixel main camera

bluboo x550 new

Bluboo have made an early update to the Bluboo X550 to improve camera performance while maintaining a good price.

At $149.99, the Bluboo X550 is an affordable device that boasts a huge 5300mAh battery, fast charging tech and Mediatek MT6735 chipset. The phone was a good value package when it was originally released with 2GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel main camera and 2 mega-pixel front, but is now more desirable with upgraded camera hardware.

The latest version of the Bluboo X550 comes with a 5 mega-pixel front camera, and 13 mega-pixel rear which Bluboo say bring better camera performance to the 5.5-inch HD device. Despite the camera update pricing remains at just $149.99 which isn’t at all bad for a large battery phone running Android 5.1 and LTE.

Bluboo are working closely with resellers to offer the new and improved Bluboo X550 for sale right now. More details available here.

No way!? You are stupid if you expect good camera with this price and with huge battery and huge display. Fuck you, you stupid fuck. You should buy DSLR if you want good camera. People are just too spoiled these days.

I can find a good camera, display and huge battery in $150 phones. Like this one for instance:

He is a stupid fuck for wanting the best possible specs for his money?

It is not huge as on Bluboo. 😛 And Umi lied about capacity, it is actually smaller. Well, never mind. Again, eMAx is probably better overall choice.

Where did you read interpolated? And every phone has a sensor, without it you can’t take pictures.

sensor type CMOS BSI. + 8mpx interpolated 13mpx = poor picture of the world.

        • balcobomber25
          July 28, 2015

Since when does CMOS BSI equate to interpolation? The Sony IMX 214 is a CMOS BSI sensor that is 13mp.

Even if it is interpolated, that doesnt necessarily mean bad pictures. Some interpolated cameras take very good pictures. It all depends on the software, sensor and optics used.

R-Camera8.0 mp, BSI, CMOS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, ISP, HDR, 1080p

            F-Camera2.0 mp
            official specs.

Device specifications aren’t official specs. Those are also the Specs for the original X550 not the updated model.

interpolated or not any way, is not good camera. strong point would be the battery ? try it….

I am confused what the battery has anything to do with the camera. And what this phone your linking to has to do with the Bluboo.

I know plenty of camera sensors that use interpolation and take very good photos. I also know plenty that use it and take horrible photos. It all comes down to how well each phone is optimized and what components they are using. Interpolation alone doesn’t equate to bad photos.

Not concerned about camera in this type of device, but the whole factor of massive battery would fit way better in a more powerful processor, fine seems that companies will not give MT6752 anymore, so MT6753 is fine.

    • balcobomber25
      July 28, 2015

Actually it works better with weaker processors because they use less resources meaning you can really stretch out that battery to its fullest. With a 6753 a phone with this size battery could last you an extra day over a 6752.

mt 6753 is the best solution for power and efficient energy

Actually, the article says about MT6735, not 6753! If that’s the case, then camera has to be interpolated, as the simplier chip doesn’t support sensors of bigger than 8Mpx resolution. It’s gonna be way slower than 6753, too.

Oh god china phone makers and sellers really need to stop photoshopping bezels away. It is very very unprofessional and just makes for disapointed costumers. Now every time i see a bezelless display i have to first figure out if it is real or not before i can decide if i like the phone.

The update killed the home button which now doesn’t work, and killed the notifiation drop down which now doesn’t drop down in two layers to show a menu any more, and doesn’t actually show notifications any more. DO NOT UPDATE!! Also this phone fails to mount its SD card after a short period of time – a known issue in this model.
