Siswoo’s mid range C55 is heading to Europe very soon, and they have also revealed more photos of their dual screen R9 darkmoon.

Siswoo have had a busy weekend and have sent over details of the European stock of Siswoo C55 and more photos of the dual screen R9 Darkmoon.

The Siswoo C55 is one of the few phones that is available to buy right now with the same MT6753 chipset as the Meizu m2 note, and are in fact only the second company to manufacture phones to this quantity with the new 64bit SoC.

The chipset offers high end performance but low energy use for longer battery life. The C55 also boasts a 5.5-inch HD display, FotoNation photo imaging software, 2GB RAM and a large 3300mAh battery.

The C55 isn’t the only news that Siswoo have though. Their CEO has also released more images of the the dual Screen R9 Darkmoon phone. The R9 is a dual screen device with 5-inch main display and secondary 4.7-inch E-ink display. Unlike other dual screen phones though the specs of the R9 are flagship worthy and include a powerful chipset, 3GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel main camera.

I like the fact that this Chinese manufacturer does not simply neglect the ‘difficult’ European market like many competitors (are you paying attention, Xiaomi, Meizu?), but it is apparently also embracing it. I Can’t wait to see the R9 in real life.

I’d rather see them finish the Lollipop Update for the R8! It was promised in the beginning of June according to their Facebook Page, and when you ask about it now, they say no Lollipop Update for the R8 is planned!
The Meizu MX4 and even the Lenovo Vibe X2 got the Lollipop Update so it has nothing to do with Mediatek not providing the necessary infos for the MT6595!

Same situation with the MT6595 powered Zopo ZP999/3X… Their flagship device and they dropped support for it within the first 3 months of it being released…

        Well, that’s Zopo for you!
Siswoo still has it on their official site, that the R8 can be updated to Lollipop. At least they could take that down, if they do not intend to follow that anymore!

          Here’s the quote:

          “Android 4.4
It can be directly upgraded to Android 5.0 later,
the larger running space make the phone run
          faster and better.”

good photo but video limited by chipset, so 1080p weak fps and poor 720p. but nice phone specs
