4GB RAM Bluboo Xtouch, gets Sapphire glass and Helio X10 chip – rival to the Op2?

bluboo xtouch

Phone maker Bluboo will be adding a touch of added protection to their new Xtouch by way of a 5-inch Sapphire glass panel.

Sapphire glass is a much tougher and stiffer glass material which is especially suited to mobile devices. In the past the material hasn’t made it in to Chinese phones do to the prohibitive expense, but manufacturing and material costs of finally dipped allowing venders to use the material.

One of the first phone makers from China to give their phones Sapphire glass panels will be Bluboo. Bluboo have managed to stay in the public eye these past few months with their X550, a phone with large 5300mAh battery.

Gizchina News of the week

The new Bluboo Xtouch is designed to compete with other flagship phones from China and could even give the OnePlus 2 quite a run for it’s money.

As well as the use of Sapphire glass, the Bluboo team have also incorporated a fingerprint scanner under a physical home button, and build the dual glass phone on an alloy chassis.

Hardware is impressive to say the least too. A powerful Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset will ensure blazing performance, and 4GB RAM means no bottle neck. Other highlight’s include a Sony IMX214 13 mega-pixel main camera, 3050mAh battery and FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution display.

Bluboo haven’t said how much they plan to sell the Bluboo Xtouch for but if they keep the cost low we will be in for one rather special phone.

So having the same price AND BETTER build quality than Samsung/Apple/LG etc is being overpriced? So HTC has to be the only one that must make a loss in order to not be overpriced compared to other plastic shit devices?!

But fact stays fact, can’t deny they stole the design. Which was my point and not the troll point you’re trying to make.

so? it’s not the first and won’t be the last time a design was stolen or an asian smartphone company stole something from another asian smartphone company. look at the elephone s2. was already released, has the same back design.
also, the htc diamond is one ugly piece of crap from centuries ago.
don’t you think one can reminisce design wise and take the best (and only good) part of a design and reinterprete it?

MT6795 implies blazing performance? In what, swiping across launcher pages and app-drawer pages without stutter?

MT6795 means stuttery HD gaming, mad-stuttery FHD gaming due to a very poor GPU, with a decent Android experience.

All thise “unoptimized-rom” excuses aside, every phone with the 6795 demonstrated on YouTube stutters when switching between a large number of apps.

That’s not necessary true. Typically with mediatek chipsets come with different gpu depending on the vendor. For example one phone might have a Mali t-760 and another might have a Power VR6200. Btw, a PowerVR6200 is better.

              August 7, 2015

The 6200 is older than the t760, but does a lot more GFLOPs. The 760 MP2 configuration in the MT6752 is about Adreno 405 category, which is pretty average.

The G6200 two cluster setup does around 90 GFLOPs which takes it to Adreno 320 (Version 2 – SD600) level. Nowhere near as good as a Adreno 330 or a PowervrG6430 (Intel Z3580) but MUCH better performer than the T760 MP2

The t760 MP6 configuration is much more powerful though. Its used in the S6.

To summarize, the G6200 in the MT6795 is architecturally older than the T760 MP2, but is far more powerful nevertheless and should perform in and around Adreno 320 level. Good enough for 95% of current games on FHD.

IMX 214 looks like boring and a tried and tested sensor being used in all kinds now …

a more distinct cam sensor would have bought a whole new taste to the x-touch , making it wayy wayyyy more desirable

    • Max

BUDGET PHONE PEOPLE!!! DO NOT CRAVE ABOUT HUGE TOP SHELF CAMERA, !!!
Just lets hope for GOOD camera App to get the best out of that sensor and it migth beat a 16/20mpx one. everything else sounds good to me…. except for the battery wich beeing a crystal+metal gizmo pretty much is gonna be non-remobable, so should be bigger. i would not mind my cell beening a bit chubby if it will last +24hours without me worring about it.

With a full sapphire screen, if really true though I’m not holding my breath, I would be curious to see how much this thing will weigh.
