For Doogee to make a flagship that we are excited about is pretty special, and they have managed it with a lot of thinking outside the box like the use of glass designed for fish tanks.
You probably already know the DOOGEE F3 is 2.5D glass covered with 1mm slim bezels to create a larger and clearer view, but did you know it is made out of the same glass usually reserved for high-end fish tanks?
The material selected by Doogee is Ultra Clear Glass that is normally reserved for top of the range fish tanks. With properties such as an excellent refractive index and light transmittance as high as 91.5%, the glass is almost as clear as crystal.
Gizchina News of the week
For added useability the glass has also been coated in an layer of AF nano coating which helps prevent smudges, fingerprints and dirty marks.
The Doogee F3 is really beginning to look rather good. As well as crystal clear glass, the phone also comes with either 2 or 3GB RAM, glass or wood rear covers, Android 5.1 and super fast autofocus.
The Doogee F1 starts at just $149.99 for the 2GB RAM glass backed version, rising to $169.99 for the wooden rear 3GB RAM flagship.

All that fancy aside, is the glass also scratch resistant, like Corning or Asahi’s glasses?
Damn pretty phone, pity though, that are not using the MT6752 or even the new MT6795 (HelioX) SoC, but the MT6753 instead. A bit of a let down for a self-pronounced ‘flag ship phone’.
My thoughts exactly. If there was at least 6752 in there, I would consider it for my next purchase.
Well I’m not so sure about this… in terms of CPU MHz the MT6752 is actually a it better on paper. Not sure about the GPU though….
For me the SOC is good enough … unless you want to play games or something it’s a decent SOC, I’d rather not pay more or have it use more power and overheat like a certain Snapdragon 😀
pretty good in almost everything, but 2200 mAH battery and 3g not in 850 mhz only 900 and 2100.
Could have been amazing……
Chinese always do this. Half-assing at the last things and then wonder why their phones aren’t selling.
What about Doogee?i heard it is not good forma updates and upgrade…in addition service customer is next to null…alla these are correct?or you nave good experience with Doogee?
They do update their phones, but not all of them, just their best selling ones get regular updates the ones that did poorly get some bug fixes and are forgotten, there is no customer service like with 99% of all chinese brands.
To be honest at this point I don’t see why would anyone buy a phone that isn’t a Meizu, Xiaomi or Asus, those 3 have phones for all budgets at competitive prices with amazing build quality and costant software updates plus large communities.
$100 – Xiaomi Redmi 2A
$130 – Meizu M2
$160 – Meizu M2 Note
$180 – Xiaomi Mi3
$220 – Asus Zenfone 2 2GB RAM
$235 – Xiaomi Mi4 3GB no LTE version
$235 – Meizu MX4
$260 – Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM
$330 – Meizu MX5
thanks xalis…about your list: I’m already considering someone, but I’m looking for a max 5″,dual sim, microsd slot dedicalted (not using one sim slot), lte (possibly including 800mhz)…
at the moment I can only see this doogee, zopo speed 7 or the new p6000 pro…
or have you any other suggestions?thx!
Yes,you’re right…I’m checking everyday if a release date was reported…but,if I’m not wrong, at the moment release date is unknown…
that’s must be a rumor
nubia z7 mini or z5s mini with snapdragon 801 or 600 for 199 dollar or 140 are the best options ATM imo
thank you nick, but as far as I understood z7 mini is 32 bit and z5s mini isn’t lte…correct ?
thats right no lte and 32 bit indeed. but you het a great camera and GPS. the 2000 mag battery holes very welk too (thanks tot not having lte partially). very happy with mine.. but thinking about replacing it with the compact five incher z7 mini as iread slot of manga.. dunno if i should. oh AND voor readability in sunlight on the ztezte..thats why i wouldnt go for the bigass lenovo k3 for example
Agree most of them except the mi3
Xiaomi, Meizu, Lenovo, Huawei, OnePlus, OPPO, Vivo, Gionee all have good customer service. 99% of bad brands don’t have customer service, most of the good brands do.
if only Pakistani customs were kinder … i’d buy the m2 note … but is it any better than the m1 note?
@Xalis ?
It is a horrible brand but dont take my word for it, I had bad experience with them. Instead go to any of the popular Android forums and type in Doogee and see how many posts are about: no customer service, no updates, poor quality, lying about specs. It will tell you all you need to know about them.
any chance of that changing ? you said you worked with some mobile companies (i think…) , so what do you have in mind for this particular brand ?
My company has done some marketing work for a few companies in China. We are usually the ones who do cleanup when a marketing promotion goes horrible wrong (think OnePlus Ladies First campaign). We do damage control.
For Doogee I would suggest them to actually acknowledge all the claims about their company (poor customer service, faked specs etc). I would suggest the same for Elephone as well. But my number one suggestion would be instead of trying to release 8 phones a year, take all that time and resources and focus on 1-2 really good phones with great specs. They will actually make more money that way.
since you actually work v.closely , is there any way you can communicate your message through an official channel to the companies concerned?
Not really. Most of our clients are a lot larger than brands like Doogee. I dont really deal with that side of the business anyways. Most of my clients are located in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia.
its a term used for curved glass, usually at the edges. Here is a more indepth explanation:
