Stainless steel Zeblaze Crystal smartwatch will cost just $64.99

Zeblaze have released more details and pricing information for their Zeblaze Crystal smartwatch.

Zeblaze, like the majority of Chinese smartwatch makers, are launching a bunch of affordable and well made wearables for those of us who like the idea of a smartwatch but don’t want to commit too much of our hard earned cash.

At the time of writing even the most affordable Android Wear watch is around $160, which is more than double the retail price of the new Zeblaze Crystal.

Sure the Zeblaze doesn’t boast Google Now integration, but if you want a device to notify you of messages, calls and monitor your sports activity while looking good at the same time, it fits the bill.

Zeblaze state that the Crystal smartwatch will come with a CNC machined stainless steel shock resistant body, high-quality leather strap and 1.54-inch TP3D tempered display and transparent battery cover.

I wonder what it would take to add Google Now integration. It seems that you’d get 90% of what Androidware offers just by adding that.

beware ….!!!!
tried several of these smartwatches / bands and they all suffer from….
– pedometer and sleep tracking. Generally this is not an automtic feature and is something you need to turn on/off. A real pain in the ass to keep telling it ‘I am walking’ , ‘I am sleeping’ etc etc
– heart rate monitor . same thing, its something you have to turn on/off. so, just ends up being a gimmick really, bit like those apps you can download that measure your heartrate through holding your finger on the camera.
– app notification. sometimes work, sometimes doenst, never seems to be consistent. some apps notifiy, some dont.
– App . Generally the app that comes with these watches is some horrid chinese badly written , generic, hurridly pushed out app that is too bad to use.
– Interface – The watch interface is generally another bad chinese rushed out affair.
– photoshop renders. Lets hope the actual physical watch looks like its render. Equally lets hope the UI is like its render. what generally happens is the actual watch has horrid borders, and the UI looks nothing like its marketing material.
– battery life….. Who wants o plug thier watch in every day. you should get at least a week out of the thing.
time will tell (pun intended !!) Lets hope zeblaze are actually creating a product here and not just a mash up pf parts.

  I see u have tested quite some of these low-mid-priced smartwatches..do u have any conclusion of the better one..? Would like something with a screen, not just a “smartband”.

ps…. I should add to my last comment….. The only smart watch/band I actually use daily. the one that actually works is the Xiaomi Mi Band… simple, does the job and works. If only it had a display for time , it would be perfect.

Hmmm, the price is different from what I see in the official website. Hmm just doubt the battery capacity of 280mAh can last for a day.. And would be interested to check the UI too..

update…. communication back from zeblaze…
when I asked if the pedometer, sleep tracking and heart rate were automatic they responded with
‘you need to run the app first’
quite exactly what this means I dont know but, I am presuming they are not automatic features and have to be started and stopped 🙁

From the looks of it, the actual screen would be a small square inside the beautiful glass top. You can see the borders they try so hard to hide by not showing a photo of the screen while on.
